People & Delivery Lead, Technology & Operations

Do you want to lead 15 specialists in operations, cloud and security for the agriculture of the future?

SEGES Innovation is seeking an experienced IT leader for Technology & Operations. You will have personnel responsibility for a strong and informal team that runs both on-premise and Azure-based services for the entire SEGES Innovation and our customers.

The role combines leadership of people with the responsibility to deliver stable, secure and scalable operations. You report directly to the Senior Vice President for Digital Delivery & Operations and participate in a leadership team of People & Delivery Leads across SEGES Digital. Here you help set the direction for the entire digital department, with a particular responsibility for the technical direction.

SEGES Innovation is Denmark’s largest knowledge and innovation house for agriculture with around 500 colleagues. We develop solutions for the future sustainable agricultural and food production and bridge research and practice.

Our digital department has about 170 employees and is one of Eastern Jutland’s largest IT workplaces. Here we develop digital solutions that strengthen farmers’ production, climate footprint and competitiveness. Development takes place in agile value streams, which Technology & Operations supports with platforms, operations and security.

About Technology & Operations

Technology & Operations consists of 15 skilled specialists spread across four knowledge domains. The team takes care of both on-premise and Azure-based services, and Azure is becoming more and more prominent:

• Cloud & Platform: Azure platform, on-premise, landing zones and hosting of our solutions
• Network & Connectivity: Network, connections and the physical network infrastructure
• Security & Compliance: Information security, governance and compliance with requirements
• Automation & Tooling: Automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and developer tools

Your tasks

You will have overall responsibility for Technology & Operations delivering stable and secure services, and for ensuring the team thrives and develops.

• People leadership: You lead and develop 15 specialists with focus on well-being, competencies and ownership
• Operations and cloud: You ensure stable operations across on-premise and Azure and drive the ongoing cloud transformation
• Cross-functional collaboration: You build bridges to the agile value streams so new solutions land safely in stable operations
• Governance and security: You set clear frameworks for IT governance, risk management and information security
• Finance, vendors and customers: You are responsible for budget, cloud costs, licenses and supplier agreements and for the IT services we deliver to selected customers
• Strategy and roadmap: You translate the business needs into a prioritized technical direction, including the use of AI and automation

Your profile

You are an experienced leader of technical teams with solid technical understanding and a desire to achieve results through others.

• Several years of experience in personnel leadership of technical specialists
• Experience with IT operations and infrastructure, preferably from an IT service provider or IT development provider
• Insight into cloud, especially Azure, and in hybrid environments
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile ways of working
• Experience with governance, security and compliance
• Relevant education in IT, preferably supplemented with management training
