Agricultural Inspectors for South Jutland

You will ensure efficient control

Do you want to work in teams with professionally competent colleagues who place importance on both the professional work and the social aspects?

The job as a controller requires at the same time great independence in planning the controls, performing the controls and the subsequent case handling of the tasks assigned to you.

Secondly it requires skills for collaboration and constructive communication with colleagues and management in an organization with a lot of turnover. We expect that you will both master the authority role out on the farmyard and contribute to the community in the department.

We are looking for three colleagues for control in different areas.

From June to November your primary area of work will be area control, where you inspect agricultural and nature areas to ensure that they comply with the EU subsidy rules. The work takes place in the field and involves the use of digital map tools and GPS as well as dialogue with farmers and landowners. In addition, documentation and case handling are included.

Outside the area season you will either work with control of environmental requirements under conditionality and pesticides or with organic control. The job therefore requires that you continuously can adapt to other tasks.

During environmental and pesticide control you visit agricultural enterprises to ensure that the rules are complied with, for example in relation to the water environment, watercourses and monuments.

During organic control you visit organic agricultural enterprises across the country to verify that the applicable organic rules are followed.

You will receive a thorough introduction and training, so you are equipped for the job tasks and performance.

Professional profile with an interest in agriculture

We expect that you

• Have a relevant professional education, e.g. as agricultural technologist or equivalent
• Perhaps previously have worked with the control area or have experience from farming
• Have an interest in digital development and have experience with using administrative IT systems
• Thrive working independently
• Have authority and diplomatic sense
• Are structured and can meet tight deadlines
• Can express yourself clearly in writing and speech
• Are willing to put in extra effort during busy periods

Control South Jutland – your new workplace

In Control South Jutland our main task is to conduct controls including organic farms, the agricultural environment, area control, feed and fertilizer substances, plant nursery and horticulture control and import and export control. We are about 20 dedicated employees in the team.

As a controller you have flexitime, and possibility to drive to controls from home. Travel allowance is provided according to state rates.

Employment terms

Salary and employment terms are set in accordance with the Organization Agreement for Agricultural Controllers in the Danish Agricultural Agency (now the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment) and the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Basic salary including fixed function allowances amounts to DKK 32,367.50 per month. There will be opportunities to negotiate qualification allowances.

The employment area is the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment. The place of work is the Agency for Green Land Reorganization and Water Environment, Eltangvej 230, 6000 Kolding.

It is assumed that you have a category B driving license and can provide your own car.

These are full-time positions to be filled by 1 January 2027.
