Activities Assistant Wanted for Solgaven in Vejle

At Solgaven we are looking for an inspiring, culture-minded, creative and structured activity staff member for our activity center, which is a gathering place for both approved day-center users and residents. Solgaven's residents and day-center users are blind or severely visually impaired.

The activity center is open to approved day-center users and residents Monday to Friday. There are two employees attached to the activity center, so that as a rule there is one at work three days a week and two at work two days a week. Opening hours are from 8:30 to 16:00. The position is approx. 30 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026, or by agreement. If you are an occupational therapist, it may be possible to supplement the hours by handling assistive device cases, ADL and instruction. If you have a caregiving professional education, it will be possible to supplement the hours in care.

About us

Solgaven is a housing and activity center with 54 residents and about 8 daily day-center users, all blind or visually impaired. There is a wide age range, and it is characteristic for the residents that most are mentally well-preserved and actively participate in daily life at Solgaven, which includes a range of varied activities and an active residents' council. At Solgaven we place high value on equality and respect for differences. This applies to both the residents and the staff.

There are many different professional groups employed at Solgaven, and there is a tradition of using each other's professional and personal competencies.

Employment terms

Solgaven is a self-governing institution with an operating agreement with Vejle Municipality.
