About the job

Would you like to help create good everyday lives and small, but meaningful moments for people living in a nursing home?

We are seeking a trained social and health care assistant for a permanent day shift position with start on December 1, 2026.

You will become part of a stable and well-established, co-leading team around the residents. The work community consists of six day shifts, four evening shifts and a night shift, as well as permanently assigned nurses and occupational and physical therapists. That the team is co-leading means that everyone contributes actively to shared decisions, task distribution, good working practices and a safe working environment. We work closely across professions and shifts, because coherence, shared responsibility and different professional perspectives provide the best support to each resident.

The team plans its own working hours at joint planning meetings. Here, your wishes, competencies, meetings and consideration for residents’ needs come together in a sustainable work schedule. It requires you to take shared responsibility, be flexible and contribute to solutions for the whole team – not only for your own shifts. The community coordinator role is part of the team and should contribute to the functioning of the community – the responsibility for planning, task solving and collaboration remains shared.

A everyday life with professionalism, presence and room for life

At Kildegården we work with DE-TRE as a common framework for professional collaboration between employees. This means that we focus on clear communication, shared responsibility and respect for each other’s different professional backgrounds. We practice being curious about each other’s perspectives, giving constructive feedback and addressing challenges in an appropriate manner. DE-TRE helps strengthen our work community and create a safe working environment where we help each other and solve the core task together.

We also work according to the Eden principles. For us, it means that Kildegården is first and foremost the residents’ home, and this should be visible in our actions. We knock on doors, introduce ourselves and ask before we help. We base our approach on the resident’s habits, wishes, daily rhythm and life history and create real options in everyday life.

We prioritise presence and relationships and have an eye for the small moments that give meaning – a conversation over coffee, music, humor, a walk in the garden or participation in today’s activities. We support communities, but also respect the desire for calm and privacy. We invite family, volunteers, children, animals and the local community in when it provides value for the residents. We dare to be spontaneous and adjust the day’s plans when a resident’s initiative or need calls for something else.

At the same time we work to prevent loneliness, boredom and helplessness by looking at resources rather than constraints and supporting the individual to continue contributing, choosing and having meaning for others.

Your main tasks

  • Providing personal care, support and practical assistance with respect for the resident’s habits, resources and choices.
  • Observing changes in the resident’s condition and responding professionally in close collaboration with colleagues, nurses and therapists.
  • Documenting relevant, accurate and timely information in CURA.
  • Actively contribute to multidisciplinary discussions, shared goals and follow-up on interventions.
  • Creating security, relationships and meaningful small moments together with the residents.
  • Participating in a committed work community where we help each other and take responsibility for both the task and the working environment.

We are looking for someone who

  • is a trained social and health care helper.
  • meets residents, families and colleagues with respect, calmness and curiosity.
  • can work independently while also seeing multidisciplinary collaboration as a prerequisite for high quality.
  • has a view of the whole person and can see opportunities in everyday life.
  • is stable, flexible and takes responsibility for agreements and shared tasks.
  • can give and receive professional feedback and contribute constructively, even when everyday life is busy.
  • is familiar with digital documentation or is eager to learn it.

Therefore, you should choose Kildegården

  • You will become part of a stable and closely knit team with clear collaboration interfaces between day, evening and night.
  • You will have close access to professional sparring with nurses and therapists.
  • You will receive a thorough introduction to the residents, workflows, DE-TRE, Eden and documentation.
  • You will have the opportunity for influence and professional development in a culture where we share knowledge and make each other better.
  • You will have a workplace close to forest, lake and good outdoor areas, actively used in the residents’ daily life.
