Allerød: Disability assistance sought

We are seeking a male helper to join our good team.

Do you want to join a team of helpers where your personal skills are valued, just as a strong presence, flexibility and personal initiative are expected?

We need you for about 1 24-hour shift per week, always from 8 am to 8 pm. In addition, there is coverage for illness and vacation. There are no fixed days, as the shift plan is arranged well in advance and according to the helpers' wishes.

You must also be able to participate in a number of trips during the year lasting 10-14 days, where you work every other day.

Training and initial shifts will take place as soon as possible.

A suitable candidate may perhaps be self-employed and in control of their time, and thus flexible to step in at short notice and will find it attractive to have a fixed income alongside other projects. We offer good working conditions with experienced colleagues who cover for each other when necessary.

About you

• You have good physical fitness and value a healthy lifestyle.
• You have a driving license and your own car.
• You are not a smoker.
• Your height is 170 - 180 cm
• Your age is 45-55 years

You will assist Torben, who is a lively 70-year-old active, happy and positive person. He uses a wheelchair due to multiple sclerosis. Experience from similar jobs is of course an advantage, but no specific prerequisites are required, as training will take place, and the job can be performed by anyone. A natural caring person with an interest in people and society, and in helping, will, however, cope best.

The job includes, among other things

• Helping Torben up in the morning.
• Daily shower and personal care.
• Daily light exercises.
• Daily reading aloud of newspapers, emails etc. in Danish and English.
• Various domestic tasks.
• Escort outside the house to meetings and social events.

We live on the outskirts of Allerød on a lovely country estate, and offer nice cozy facilities with high ceilings.
