Villa Rose is located on Indre Østerbro. We have 65 nursery children who are offered healthy, varied and tasty organic meals every day.

You will take responsibility for the kitchen and further develop a strong food and meal profile at Villa Rose, ensuring that healthy and tasty food is served every day that the children look forward to.

You will manage the daily operation of the kitchen and collaborate in daily life with the other staff, so that together you succeed in developing the children’s willingness to try new foods and their curiosity.

We want a professional kitchen staff member who works from principles of being experimental, curious and bold in taste, senses and colors. We focus on climate goals and serve meals that meet this.

The kitchen is centrally located on the 1st floor, and there is natural dialogue and interaction with both children, parents and the rest of the staff.

Your main tasks will be

• planning of the menu
• daily shopping and daily production of food made from scratch, so we continue to ensure the Organic Eating Mark, while we make varied, healthy and tasty food that follows the seasons
• continuously staying updated on new knowledge, recommendations and requirements in the area – you must be able to work according to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration’s recommendations on healthy nutrition for children in day nurseries
• ordering food online
• to manage and adhere to the kitchen’s finances and budget
• to create exciting, varied and inviting food experiences that represent the seasons
• self-inspection and cleaning of the kitchen

Your profile

• You have a relevant culinary education and preferably experience with food for children or similar. Alternatively you have extensive experience and passion for cooking and running a kitchen
• You can plan and keep track of a menu
• You can work independently but also collaborate with the pedagogical staff
• You have an overview and a sense of order and can handle pressured situations with a smile on your face
• You enjoy being surrounded by children, colleagues and curious questions

Employment terms

The employment area is Copenhagen Municipality. Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

The working hours amount to 33-37 hours per week.

Employment is from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

In connection with the hire we collect child and criminal record checks as well as references.
