Kitchen helper sought for residential care facility in Gødvad – 10-15 hours per week

Are you happy to cook, and do you thrive with practical tasks in a kitchen? Then you might be the one we are looking for at Specialområde Autismes botilbud in Gødvad.

We are looking for a kitchen assistant who wants to help with the daily tasks in our kitchen. The position is 10-15 hours per week and can be either a regular part-time job or a flex job.

The most important thing is not what education you have or how much experience you bring. We emphasize that you want the tasks, can work independently, and meet other people with understanding and tolerance.

Your tasks

You will become part of everyday life in the kitchen, where your tasks among others will be:

• Reheat meals that have been prepared for the residents.
• Prepare and plate meals.
• Chop a bit of salad and possibly bake.
• Wash up and tidy up after meals.
• Carry out own checks.

Two days a week you will work independently in the kitchen. On the other workdays you will collaborate with the kitchen managers.

You will not have pedagogical tasks with the residents, but some of them may pop by the kitchen for a small chat. Therefore you should be willing to meet them with openness and friendliness when they pass by.

Who are you?

We imagine that you

• Have an interest in cooking and practical kitchen tasks.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for the tasks you are given.
• Are open and have understanding for people who communicate and express themselves in other ways.
• Are approachable and enjoy a small chat with the residents.
• Can read and write Danish, so you can carry out the tasks and perform own checks.

You do not need to have a specific education or a particular kitchen background. The most important is your interest and your approach to the tasks and the people around you.

Who are we?

Gødvad Residential Care is part of Specialområde Autisme, which is Region Midtjylland’s specialized autism service for adults. The facility in Gødvad is aimed at adults with autism spectrum disorders, whose lives are further complicated by conditions such as anxiety, OCD, self-harm, eating disorders, ADHD and bipolar disorder.

Work hours and employment

The position is for a minimum of 10 hours and ideally 15 hours per week. You must be able to work three hours at a time.

The working hours are generally 15:00-18:00 on the agreed working days. We will figure out together how the working hours are best organized.

There is a fixed-term employment for six months with start as soon as possible. There may possibly be an opportunity for permanent employment in the long term.

We are open to both a regular part-time employment and a flex job. There is the possibility to take individual considerations into account.

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and agreements on Ny Løn.
