About the job

Can you see what others miss? Use your curiosity and professional competencies to solve tax law issues and become part of a strong professional community in the Tax Administration.

Some see a tax case. You see nuances and the details that make the difference. You know that the best decisions are built on analysis, strong professionalism, and clear communication. And you are motivated by delving into legal problems and finding solutions that make a difference. If that sounds like you, you could be our new colleague in the unit Citizens 11 – Binding Answers.

Although we are geographically based in Ribe, you do not need to live nearby to apply for the position. In the team, we meet regularly one day a week in Ribe and one day in Fredericia. Where and how you work on the remaining days we agree on collectively. In the Tax and Growth Ministry, we emphasize flexible working conditions, and therefore the framework for work planning is discussed between the manager and the employee based on the overall task solution.

Become a specialist in tax law

With us, we work with binding answers – written decisions where citizens can clarify the tax consequences of their transactions before they act.

The cases span a broad range within personal taxation and include, among other things, employees’ income and deductions, capital gains on property, international taxation, pension taxation, and other complex tax-law issues.

As a caseworker with us you can expect a varied daily life. You will take responsibility for your own cases from the start, where you analyze statutes and practice, assess the legal questions, and prepare decisions that are legally correct and written with the citizen in mind. We take pride in writing briefly and precisely so the decision is understandable to the citizen. This gives you a unique opportunity to build broad and deep knowledge of some of the Tax Administration’s many areas of expertise. You will typically have responsibility for 4-8 cases at a time with different levels of complexity and scope.

You will become part of a strong professional community that is passionate about tax law

Our team consists of colleagues with different professional backgrounds and experiences, but we have one thing in common: We love to delve into the law and develop our professional skills, while also focusing on progress in task delivery. With us you are never alone. We brainstorm with each other, share knowledge, and challenge each other professionally, because we know that the best solutions are created in collaboration. At the same time, we maintain an informal tone, a high level of trust, and great flexibility in everyday life.

Whether you come with extensive experience or are new to the area, we ensure you get a good start. You will receive a thorough onboarding process with an introduction to our tasks, systems, and working methods as well as a tailored introductory program through our internal academy. We believe that professional development is an ongoing process, and therefore we prioritize further education, knowledge sharing, and ongoing sparring.

Strong in communication and legal method

There are several paths into the job, and the most important thing is that you have an interest in tax law and a desire to develop your legal competencies within the field. You may be cand.jur., cand.merc.jur, have a professional bachelor’s diploma in taxation or tax auditor. You may also have acquired equivalent competencies through your work with tax or legal method. It is an advantage if you have experience with case handling within the tax area.

We envision that you

  • work in a structured way and can create an overview of legal issues
  • can translate legislation and practice into well-founded decisions and ensure clear communication of these in writing
  • can balance high quality with productivity
  • meet colleagues and tasks with engagement and positive energy and actively contribute to a professional environment with sparring and knowledge sharing

We are looking for a colleague who is curious, eager to learn, and motivated by working with some of the most exciting legal issues in personal taxation. Are you ready to develop your competencies in a strong professional environment where your efforts make a difference for both citizens and society? Then we look forward to hearing from you.

Contact and terms of employment

The first round of interviews will be held on 30 November 2026 at the Tax Administration’s location in Fredericia. The second interview is expected to be held on 8 December 2026 in Fredericia, where a logical test, personality analysis, and a small case may be used as a dialog tool. Before the hire, we will obtain references and a criminal record.

Expected commencement date is 1 February 2027 or by agreement.

You will be employed under the applicable collective agreements for academics in the state (AC), for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK), or for assistants, etc. (DTS) in the Tax and Growth Ministry.

If you proceed to employment in the recruitment process, please note that we conduct a check to see whether you have debt sent to collections with the public sector. We also check whether you have any resolved control and/or criminal cases in the tax and duties area. Your employment is conditioned on us not finding information about you that is incompatible with employment in the Tax and Growth Ministry’s group.

You will be employed in the Tax and Growth Ministry with the associated institutions. The workplace will be Sorsigvej 35, 6760 Ribe.
