About the job

Do you want to use your legal expertise close to practice and help develop one of Denmark's strongest and most specialized social sectors? We are seeking an experienced legal consultant for a permanent position in the legal team, where you will play a central role in bridging law and practice. You will become part of a large organization where collaboration across disciplines and geographies is an important part of daily life.

About the position

In the Social Sector in the Region of Central Denmark, you will be part of the legal team, where you together with your colleague will be responsible for translating legislation and administrative practice into solutions that work in everyday life. You will primarily work with social and health legislation in the specialized social sector for both children and adults.

You will advise managers and employees, contribute to concrete case handling and plan and conduct training. The tasks range from planned training programs to urgent legal questions, giving you a varied daily life with professional depth and close contact with practice.

Collaboration and knowledge sharing are central – both in the legal team, in the Social Sector’s Staff, and across the specialized areas. Together we work to ensure a high and consistent legal quality.

The workweek varies between the office in Viborg, meetings and training at offerings around the region and the possibility of remote work. You thus get a versatile position with a broad contact surface and the opportunity to make the law concrete and applicable for both employees, managers and citizens.

Your tasks

  • Advise managers and employees on social and health legislation and translate complex legal issues into usable solutions.
  • Plan, develop and conduct teaching and presentations.
  • Provide legal sparring in specific cases, including issues at the intersection of social and health legislation.
  • Keep yourself updated on new legislation, administrative practice and rulings from relevant authorities and convey important changes.
  • Prepare consultation responses, respond to requests for access to information, prepare legal notes and guidelines and quality-check legal documents.
  • Contribute to the professional development, knowledge sharing and collaboration of the legal team.

About you

We are looking for a lawyer with solid professional competence, experience from the specialized social sector and a desire to make a difference through advice, training and collaboration.

We expect that you

  • Have a relevant legal education
  • Have experience with legal advice within the specialized social sector and a solid knowledge of the relevant social and health legislation.
  • Have experience planning and delivering training and can convey complex legal issues to different professional groups.
  • Thrive in a large, politically led organization and navigate confidently across disciplines and geographies
  • Work independently, systematically and solution-oriented – even when tasks are complex and urgent
  • Collaborate closely with your colleague in the legal team and actively contribute to the team’s professional profile and culture
  • Have a driving license (the legal team regularly conducts training at regional social facilities across the Region of Central Denmark)

We attach importance to you being comfortable both in a advisory and in a teaching role and able to create an overview in complex issues. You have an eye for solutions that are legally sound and work in practice.

As a person you are collaborative, curious and good at building relationships. You take responsibility for your tasks and actively contribute to joint solutions.

Become part of a workplace with high professionalism and good humor

As a legal consultant in the Social Sector’s Staff you will get

  • A varied and developing job with professionally challenging tasks.
  • Engaged and skilled colleagues – and a leader who values trust as a core principle.
  • A high degree of responsibility and good opportunities to influence the position.
  • A strong professional environment with good well-being and an informal tone.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of remote work.

Who are we?

In the Social Sector’s Staff, the core task is to support the entire leadership system in the social sector and its continued development. We are based in the Region House in Viborg and are organized in three offices, where we work closely together, share knowledge across, and maintain a trusting, professional daily life with room for humor. We also prioritize social community and a good colleague culture as a framework for high professional quality. You will become part of the Policy and Strategy Office and report to the Administrative Director Kjeld Pasgaard Nørby.

Salary and employment terms

It is a full-time position. The vacancy is to be filled as soon as possible or no later than January 1, 2027. Salary and employment terms are set according to applicable collective agreement and the principles of Ny Løn.
