Analytically sharp consultant to the Secretariat of the Social and Labour Market

About the job

As a consultant in Policy and Development you will both support the politicians and the management team and be a link out to the operations in the social and labor market area.

The primary tasks in the position will be project management of development projects, which are part of the implementation of The Strategic Plan for Randers Municipality of the Future .

In the projects there is particular focus on goals to help more citizens become self-supporting and to help more young people in education and employment, cf. Ungeløftet .

Your tasks will primarily be

• Project management of development tasks, especially investment projects
• Implementation of political decisions e.g. within the framework of the employment reform
• Planning and execution of larger and smaller processes in cooperation with the subject areas
• Preparation of briefs, reports, motions and analyses for management and the political level
• Advocacy on the social and labor market area
• Meeting and working group support
• Ad hoc case processing.

Policy and Development is one of two departments in a common secretariat for Social and Labour Market. The secretariat consists of about 45 employees across the two departments, including a larger consultant team, of which you will become a part. The department is characterized by close cooperation between the consultants and the management group with a view to ensuring the most optimal support of both operations and the political level.

Your profile

In Policy and Development we are looking for an ambitious colleague who is analytically strong, solution-oriented and motivated by translating complex issues into concrete solutions and results.

We imagine that you

• have experience with project management and process control and can ensure progress
• have a sense of ownership and engagement among leaders and employees
• have knowledge of and preferably experience with tools such as change theories and business cases
• have understanding of data and preferably experience in using data in development and decision-making processes
• are good at structuring and planning larger processes, with an eye for both detail and the whole
• write clearly and precisely and can communicate complex material to different target groups
• are calm and have an overview, but thrive in an environment with tight deadlines
• enjoy working independently and at the same time manage to create good collaborative relations across professional and staff groups
• contribute actively to a good work environment characterized by collaboration, helpfulness, humor and respect for each other’s professional expertise
• have a master's degree in social sciences - preferably (but not necessarily) experience from the social or labor market area

Salary and terms of employment

The position is to be filled on 1 January 2027.

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
