About the job

Do you think it's important to support development processes that create collaboration across departments, sections and teams? Do you think it's cool to drive strategic and larger change and implementation processes, where you create momentum in collaboration with your colleagues and leaders? Then you are the one we need in Thy.

Thisted Municipality is seeking, with start on 1 January 2027, a consultant in the Operations and Construction Department.

What you’ll get

We offer a central role in Operations and Construction, where you will be the link between professional expertise, development and decision-making processes. You will become part of a professional community with the department's administrative staff and the development consultant from Planning and Environment. At the same time you will participate in the municipality's cross-cutting consultant network, where we together develop methods and approaches to consultant support.

We offer a position with a high degree of autonomy and influence on daily task execution. You will have the opportunity to translate technical professional knowledge into decision papers for politicians and management, drive projects from idea to implementation and evaluation, and facilitate development and change processes across the organization.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the management team, contribute to onboarding of new employees, and help strengthen both the professional and social community in the department.

Your tasks

We do not expect you to have a technical background, but experience in the area can be an advantage. Your task portfolio is broad and we do not expect you to have knowledge of it all – but we would like to help you get onboard with the new professional areas and workflows. We hope, in return, that you dream of the following

  • facilitating processes, and independently leading projects from the initial sketches and considerations to the completed and re-evaluated project.
  • participating in the preparation of case documents in the technical area.
  • consulting with the Operations and Construction leadership group
  • leading projects in collaboration with many actors across departments of the technical area
  • consulting with your colleagues and boss about approaches, methods and solutions to the tasks we will solve together.

About you

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant academic degree
  • approach tasks in a structured way and focus on ensuring progress
  • are passionate about project and process management as well as facilitation
  • are autonomous in task execution, but understand when to involve others when relevant
  • thrive with many varied tasks and changing deadlines

About us

In Operations and Construction we plan large and small construction projects and operate and maintain the municipality's roads and buildings. Therefore we are also a department that has collaboration interfaces across our own organization but also with external parties.

You will join a department that, in addition to being professionally passionate, also values community, spontaneous cake tables, and a laugh in the hallway. We are a “small” house in Hurup, with about 100 employees - which means we know each other across the two departments Planning and Environment and Operations and Construction.

You will report to the Head of Operations and Construction. Your employment will be within Operations and Construction in Hurup at Kirkevej 9, but you should expect to participate in and host activities throughout the municipality. Therefore, it is expected that you have a driving license B and your own car.

Salary and employment terms

The position is a permanent role of 37 hours per week.

Salary is set in accordance with applicable collective agreement and principles for local pay formation. The specific salary range will be disclosed prior to the interview.

The workplace is Thisted Town Hall, Asylgade 30, 7700 Thisted.

Further information

Enquiries regarding the position should be directed to the Head of Operations and Construction Ejgil Haurum at email [email protected] / phone 23 38 76 67.

Application deadline

We must have your application and CV no later than 17 November at 23:59.

Interviews are expected to be held on 23 November 2026.

Start date

Start is desired on 1 January 2027, but we are happy to wait for the right candidate.
