Do you want to anesthetize complex patients in several specialties and race to cesarean section, cardiac arrest and trauma calls? Or do you want to focus on flow in our day-surgery anesthesia? Then the Anesthesia in Viborg is certainly something for you.

Whether you are newly graduated or experienced, it makes no difference to us. We always pair you with experienced mentors and tailor your introductory course so you get the best possible start with us.

We have a good working environment where honesty, high work ethic, professionalism and humor are important elements in our collaboration with each other.

The position is a full-time position of 37 hours per week. Whether you prefer day surgery or on-call anesthesia, it doesn't matter much to us. We have a good on-call planner, and most things can be arranged. We work 7:30-15:00, with occasional late shifts until 16:00. Evening shifts are from 14:45-22:00 and on-call shifts from 14:45-07:30

We aim to provide relationship-based and integrated nursing of a high standard to patients within gynecology, orthopedics, urology as well as organ and vascular surgery in our anesthesia units.

The vascular surgeons have, among other things, built a completely new hybrid operating room, so we now have two! We run fast-track on gastric bypass and regularly have visits from other departments who want to see how we do it. There is also an operating robot on the way. In short, we have so much to offer that it's almost hard to understand that you haven't applied yet!

To mention a few of our other functions, we anesthetize patients for ECT treatments, MR scans, in the dental clinic – which also gets a completely new-built department – as well as children for Botox treatments.

We want you to feel safe in speaking your mind. We strive for a high anesthesia nursing professional profile, where thoroughness, responsibility and attentiveness are fundamental in the work. Therefore we also work purposefully to make anesthesia more sustainable.

It must be enjoyable to go to work, and there must be room for differences – both professionally and in private life.

To support development in the department we have two clinical nursing specialists attached, as well as specialty leads and a development nurse in the unit itself.

We also have a responsible education nurse and a strong team of clinical mentors who ensure thorough training of our trainees.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement in the area.
