About the position

We are seeking an anesthesia nurse for a permanent full-time position with start as soon as possible or by agreement.

As an anesthesia nurse with us you will primarily perform anesthesia for patients within orthopaedic surgery, including:

• Hip and knee arthroplasties
• Shoulder and elbow surgery
• Hand surgery

We staff six operating rooms and an recovery ward on weekdays. At weekends, on holidays and during on-call hours you will be part of the on-call duty from our on-call apartment adjacent to the hospital.

The department also handles the hospital's emergency function, including

• Cardiac arrest function
• Blood sample collection
• Surgical ward
• Palliative care ward
• Medical day department, where we among other things provide anesthesia for gastroscopies and colonoscopies
• Patient transport to other hospitals

Farsø Hospital primarily conducts elective surgery, but also receives acute hand and shoulder patients. It provides an exciting and diverse daily routine with both planned and acute tasks.

Education and development

We are an education department for

• Anesthesia trainees
• Nursing students in their first semester
• Ambulance rescue trainees

In addition we have a shared education-responsible nurse as well as several clinical mentors and daily mentors.

Currently the department consists of

• 15 anesthesia nurses
• 2 recovery nurses
• 6 anesthesia consultants

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Working hours are

• 07:30-15:00
• 07:30-16:00
• 07:30-17:00

In addition, there are about three on-call shifts per month.
