As an SOSU assistant student during the training you will have a program where you work with care for citizens. You will have a changing daily life, where you are both in the classroom and in apprenticeship. In the classroom you will get the theoretical foundation that equips you to work in practice. Therefore we value classroom and apprenticeship equally, as we see them as prerequisites for each other to be able to work with high quality.

We offer

An education where you during the course will be inspired and gain knowledge at a professionally high level about among other things health, rehabilitation, care and nursing, medicine and not least gain insight and understanding of different life situations.

You will furthermore

  • Will come to collaborate with professional partner organisations both in apprenticeship and school periods
  • During the education obtain more independent tasks, which you can develop through – so you in time can gradually join on par with your other colleagues
  • The possibility to develop new competences and be an important link in providing professional care and nursing

  • Make a difference every day for citizens who need support

The education as SOSU assistant

You will as SOSU assistant student have a 37-hour work week when you are in practice, where you in the school periods follow the schedule you receive from the Social- and Health School – you receive salary during the whole education.

You will during the education

  • At the Social- and Health School have attached a contact teacher
  • Receive teaching that alternates between group work, presentations, discussion, practical exercises and study visits
  • Enter apprenticeship where you are assigned a mentor, and you together plan the learning process
  • Get apprenticeship in the municipality, in psychiatry and at the hospital
  • During the practicum have working days that fall on weekdays and weekends. The working hours will primarily be day shifts, but evening and night shifts can occur

We seek someone who

  • Enjoy helping other people and take pride in always keeping agreements and being professionally prepared
  • Are curious and reflect on own and others' actions
  • Are professionally goal-oriented, have an overview and not least curious about the profession and opportunities
