About the job

Are you our innovative and brave colleague?

Residential community Skovglimt is a residential service for citizens aged 18 - 93 years with physical and mental functional impairments. Skovglimt is a home for 23 wonderful people, each attached to one of the three teams of the residential community.

Our vacancy is in Team A, which is a service for citizens with autism. In total 9 citizens are attached to Team A. Eight live in the team, and one citizen receives § 85 support outside the house.

In Team A we base our work on the individual citizen's wishes, needs, resources, and personality. The target group are citizens with an autism diagnosis. Autism is a part of their life and can express itself in different ways and affect the support, structure, and approach the individual needs. What is common to the citizens is their autism diagnosis, but they are first and foremost different people with their own personalities, resources, needs and life wishes.

Citizens are involved, among other things, in choosing activities, what to eat, and who they want as contact person. We are curious about their wishes and perspectives and work with self-determination and co-determination becoming a natural part of everyday life.

We are looking for you who

  • Are trained pedagogical assistant or pedagogue with a desire to be part of a multidisciplinary team where we respect each other's professional competences. We expect you to contribute to the good working environment together with your colleagues.
  • Believe that the citizen should be at the center of our efforts and is the one who is best to define what is most important in his or her life.
  • Are a professionally well-founded colleague who can work independently, in a structured and targeted way, and at the same time be a good team player. We expect you to be open to give and receive sparring and professionally reflective both alone and with colleagues.
  • Are willing to take on practical tasks such as laundry and cleaning together with the citizens.
  • Communicate considerately to both colleagues and citizens.
  • Have a desire to participate in planning pedagogical activities, which can range from creative projects to outings.
  • Have good written skills and are familiar with electronic documentation. We use Nexus, but if you do not know it, we will of course provide good training.
  • Have an ordinary B driving license and are comfortable driving larger vehicles as well (this is a requirement - the position cannot be filled without).
  • Can see value in helping each other across departments and lend a hand where needed.

From us you can expect that we

  • invite you to become an active participant in the staff group and, in collaboration with your colleagues and team leader, provide the opportunity to take responsibility for developing good solutions for the citizens.
  • Contribute to your active participation in your own, colleagues', and residents' development.
  • Offer relevant courses.
  • Have regular case supervision with an external supervisor.

Sorø Municipality is entering into a partnership with the Danish Agency for Housing and Social Services and four other municipalities in Denmark, whose task is to develop the recovery-oriented rehabilitative approach to the disability field. This means we have a strong focus on making the citizen's voice clear in all our efforts. There will also be competence development in collaboration with the Social Services Agency.

We are part of the Center for Handicap and Psychiatry (CHP), where our work is anchored in four cornerstones:

  • Everything we do is about the citizen's well-being, learning and development.
  • We navigate within the frameworks we are given.
  • Our interdisciplinary foundation supports a healthy and sustainable business.
  • We document effects and create data that can be used for learning and development.

Together with Absalon University College, we are in the process of developing our own education – a diploma module tailored to CHP and our practice. The education is based on the four cornerstones and focuses among other things on recovery-oriented rehabilitation, citizen perspectives, involvement and participation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals and relatives – always with the citizen at the center.

We also work with collegial sparring, a common professional language and the core task perspective. The goal is to create a strong and common professional foundation that can be translated directly into our daily practice. The education is already underway, and employees participate continuously in different cohorts. There are still cohorts that must complete the education, and it is expected that the last cohort finishes in spring 2028.

Skovglimt is a 24-hour service, which is why we are open year-round – also on weekends and holidays.

Working hours are from 7.00-23.00 with weekend work every other weekend, as in this position in even weeks.

Employment is conditioned on a satisfactory criminal record check.

If you have further questions about the position, you can contact Team Leader Hannah Tjørnelund at phone: 20 27 28 79 or email: [email protected]

Application procedure

Submit your application electronically by clicking on "Search for the position" and attach your application and your CV.

For the recruitment interview, a citizen representative will participate. If you wish, you are very welcome to attach a photo of yourself with your application. More information about this will be sent if you are lucky enough to be invited to an interview.

We expect to hold interviews on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 after 12:00 PM.

The position is to be filled no later than December 1, 2026 or by agreement.

In Sorø Municipality we see diversity as a strength, and we encourage all interested to apply for the position regardless of age, gender, disability, race, religion and ethnic origin. Our value base is: credibility, commitment and job satisfaction, dialogue, openness and recognition.

The municipality has just over 30,000 inhabitants and lies in the middle of Zealand in a scenic area with lakes and forests. Sorø Municipality has about 2,500 employees – and by the way, we are a smoke-free workplace.
