Would you like to make a difference for students and teachers at the middle school level? Do you have solid experience with reading guidance, practice-oriented teaching, and are you keen to help develop the school’s reading efforts? Then you might be the person we are looking for as a new reading advisor at Damhusengens Skole and KKFO.

About the position

As a reading advisor you will be a central part of the school’s resource center and will have a varied daily life, where your professional expertise is put to use in several ways:

• Practical, hands-on focus in the middle grades: You join the teaching as a guide and collaboration partner, both in concrete reading programs, LST and in the development of action plans and didactic measures in the middle grades
• Development and implementation: You contribute to strengthening the school’s overall efforts for reading and written language, including a focus on reading motivation, subject-specific reading in all subjects and differentiated approaches to students’ reading development
• Guidance of teachers: You support colleagues in the work with reading, among other things through sparring, observations and joint planning of reading programs

We are looking for a colleague who

• has solid experience with reading guidance and teaching reading in the middle grades
• has knowledge and experience with dyslexia and LST
• is strong at collaborating and building relationships – with both students and colleagues
• can balance between being a guide and an active participant in teaching
• works systematically with action plans, evaluations and didactic approaches
• is passionate about supporting reading motivation and subject-specific reading across all school subjects
• is curious, development-oriented and ready to join the school’s resource center
• is a trained teacher or has another relevant qualification
