About the position

As a kitchen assistant you play a central role in the daily operation of our kitchen. Your main tasks will include washing up, counter service, preparation of ingredients and cleaning. Thereafter you, together with your team, will assist with plating, serving and other ad hoc tasks that may arise in the daily production.

• Your fixed workplace is: Kastellet.
• The position is 37 hours per week.
• Your working hours will primarily be in the period 06:30 – 13:54.
• Evening and weekend work will occur.

• You speak, read and understand Danish.

About you

We would like you to have experience with working in a kitchen. In addition, it is a huge plus if you:

• Have experience with canteen operations.
• Are happy to work in a high‑tempo kitchen and can quickly adapt to changing tasks.
• Are service-minded and able to build good relationships with both colleagues and guests.
• Are a colleague who takes responsibility for the community and takes pride in contributing positively.

You must hold a valid category B driving license and maintain it throughout the entire employment process.

Terms of employment

The employment is governed by the current Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organizations – The Public Sector Area (OAO-S joint collective agreement) and the organizational agreement for kitchen assistants in the state, etc., concluded between the Ministry of Finance and FOA – Fag og Arbejde.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is potential for negotiating additional pay. The position is tied to an employer-funded pension scheme.

The workplace is in Copenhagen.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance for the duration of the employment.

As an employee you are obliged to render service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-enforcing, humanitarian and other similar operations.
