About the job

We are seeking an audiologist or speech-language pathologist for a part-time position with the possibility of full-time with teaching duties. The position is with employment starting on December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter and until December 31, 2027.

You will work with some fantastic and very special children who bring you joy in your daily life – and you will experience, along the way, how they develop thanks to the work you do together with them. If this sounds like something that motivates you as a speech-language pathologist, we have just the position for you in the Center Classes at Lillevang School in Allerød Municipality.

Center Classes at Lillevang School is a special school department for students with mobility impairments, primarily cerebral palsy.

Center Classes are part of Lillevang School, which is a district school with two departments, grades 0-5 in the Skovvang department and grades 6-9 in the Lillerød department. In addition, we have special classes, reception classes, and Center Classes. The school houses about 750 students in the general program and about 60 students in the various group arrangements. The school is a ten-minute walk from the S-train, close to nature and green areas.

Depending on the agreement, you will be employed for between 20-37 hours per week. The working year consists of about 41-42 workweeks per year. During the school year you will accrue compensatory time off to be used on planned school days off in connection with school holidays.

Your everyday life as a speech-language pathologist in the Center Classes

As a speech-language pathologist in the Center Classes you work closely with the school’s other speech-language pathologist, who also has teaching duties as a teacher. The Center Classes team works in close contact with one another. Sparring, interdisciplinary collaboration and good colleagues are therefore key words that run through your daily life.

Your tasks will therefore be varied and multi-faceted, but concretely your primary tasks will be to:

  • Teach children with articulation difficulties
  • Teach children with language difficulties
  • Conduct language assessments
  • Implement and facilitate the use of alternative and augmentative communication aids in the child’s daily life
  • Advise and guide teachers and other professionals in the child’s daily environment
  • Advise and guide parents and other relevant people in the child’s network
  • Contribute speech-language pathology expertise to the Center’s joint projects during the school year

Opportunity for development and learning

There will be ample opportunity for you to develop your professional competencies in collaboration with your colleagues and other professionals.

In addition to being educated (or in the process of becoming) a audiologist/speech-language pathologist, we would like to hear more about:

  • Your experience in the special education field and preferably with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
  • Your experience with phonological difficulties
  • Your experience with developmental language disorder (DLD)
  • How you can join our team and your collaboration skills with other professional groups
  • Your ambitions and dreams for your professional work as an audiologist/speech-language pathologist
  • If you are interested in a combined position, your experience in teaching/pedagogical work
