About the role – your primary tasks

You will have a varied daily life with a high degree of independence and professional responsibility.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Assessment and evaluation of citizens' communicative needs and possibilities
• Advice on communication aids, digital solutions and welfare technology tools
• Planning and conducting individual intervention and training programs
• Testing, adapting and implementing both low-tech and high-tech aids
• Preparing/setting up digital solutions, and performing lighter repairs and updates of approved solutions – particularly there are many technical solutions at the interface to the vision area
• Keeping yourself updated on the area of digital communication solutions
• Guidance for citizens, relatives and professional partners
• Interdisciplinary collaboration around citizens with acquired brain injury, neurological diseases, cognitive challenges or communicative impairments
• Documentation, follow-up and professional communication

You will become part of a strong multidisciplinary community and a part of Assistive Technology & Everyday Technology , which is anchored in the Authority department in the Elderly Care area of Svendborg Municipality.

We imagine you have

• A relevant intermediate-to-long higher education within the technical, health-care, therapeutic or pedagogical/educational field – ideally with further education at diploma level. You can also be educated as an audiologist.
• Maybe you have worked/are working as a technician or ICT consultant in municipal or regional settings
• Experience within the ICT, communication or welfare technology field
• Knowledge of communication aids and digital support solutions
• An advantage if you have knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication
• Preferably experience with citizens with cognitive, communicative or neurological challenges
• Work rehabilitating and seeing resources rather than limitations
• Curious about new technology and its practical application
• Ability to translate complex knowledge into understandable guidance and training
• Work in a structured, independent and targeted manner
• Initiative, decisiveness and the ability to keep an overview in busy periods and enjoy changing tasks
• Strong collaboration skills and contribute positively to the community
• Clearly and professionally communicate both verbally and in writing

Salary and employment

In Svendborg Municipality the salary for this type of position typically lies between DKK 42,652.65 - 52,979.30 per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday entitlement and fixed allowances. It is important to note that your specific salary will be determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and will be negotiated with the relevant professional organization.

To hold the position, a valid driver's license is required. A car will be provided.

Upon appointment to the positions, a private criminal record must be presented. It is advantageous if this is obtained at the time of invitation to interview. References from two previous employers will also need to be obtained. These can be included in the application.
