About the job

We are seeking an audiologist or speech-language pathologist for a part-time position with the possibility of full-time work with teaching duties as a substitute. The position is with employment from December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter and until December 31, 2027.

You will meet fantastic and truly special children who give you joy in your daily life – and you will experience, along the way, how they develop thanks to the work you do together with them. Does this sound like something that drives you as a speech-language pathologist? Then we have the perfect position for you in the Center Classes at Lillevang School in Allerød Municipality.

The Center Classes at Lillevang School is a special school department for pupils with mobility impairments primarily with cerebral palsy.

The Center Classes are part of Lillevang School, which is a district school with two sections, the 0th-5th grades in the Skovvang section and the 6th-9th grades in the Lillerød section. In addition, we have special classes, reception classes, and Center Classes. The school accommodates about 750 pupils in the general education area and about 60 pupils in the various group arrangements. The school is a ten-minute walk from the S-train, close to nature and green areas.

Depending on the agreement, you will be employed between 20-37 hours per week. The working time is distributed over about 41-42 working weeks per year. During the school year you will thus accrue compensatory time off to be used on planned school holidays in connection with the school breaks.

Your everyday life as a speech-language pathologist in the Center Classes

As a speech-language pathologist in the Center Classes you work closely with the school's other speech-language pathologist, who also has teaching duties as a teacher. The team around the Center Classes works in close contact with one another. Sparring, multidisciplinary collaboration and good colleagues are therefore keywords that are central to your daily life.

Your tasks will therefore be varied and versatile, but concretely your primary tasks will be to:

  • Teach children with articulation difficulties
  • Teach children with language disorders
  • Conduct language assessments
  • Implement and facilitate the use of alternative and augmentative communication aids in the child's daily life
  • Advise and guide teachers and other professionals in the child's daily environment
  • Advise and guide parents and other relevant persons in the child's network
  • Contribute with speech-language pathology expertise in the Center's joint projects during the school year

Opportunities for development and learning

There will be ample opportunity for you to develop your professional skills in collaboration with your colleagues and other professionals.

In addition to being educated (or in the process of training) as an audiologist/speech-language pathologist, we would like to hear more about:

  • Your experience in the special education field and preferably with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)
  • Your experience with phonological disorders
  • Your experience with developmental language disorders (DLD)
  • How you can join our team and your collaborative skills with other professional groups
  • Your ambitions and dreams for your professional work as an audiologist/speech-language pathologist
  • If you are interested in a combined position, your experience in the teaching/education field
