Automation technician sought for operation and maintenance at a large, market-leading company in Odense

We are seeking an automation technician or similar for the technical department, where you will work with electricity, PLC, fault finding and maintenance of the production equipment.

You will become part of a small technical team including, among others, a welder and a mechanic, but at the same time part of a larger organization with orderly conditions, fixed frameworks and good long-term opportunities.

There are both newer and older control systems at the site, so it is an advantage if you have already worked with different types of systems and controls.

What will you work with?

You will among other things be working with

• Troubleshooting electrical, PLC and control systems
• Service and maintenance of production equipment
• Motors, sensors and other electrical components
• Preventive maintenance
• Troubleshooting during operational downtime
• Technical tasks across the department's other tradespeople

Who are we looking for?

• Has experience with electrical systems and PLC
• Is used to troubleshooting independently
• Has worked with production plants or industrial technology
• Preferably familiar with both older controls and newer solutions
• Can collaborate with both mechanics and welders
• If you have a boiler certificate , that is a plus, but not a requirement.

As part of the position you will be part of an on-call shift arrangement, where outside normal working hours you are available for technical problems. The tasks include, among others:

• Telephone support and troubleshooting of operational problems.
• Call-out for technical faults that require physical attendance.
• Service and maintenance of automated systems at selected customers

Practical information

Employment: Permanent full-time position with direct employment at the company.
