About the job

When technology works, the health service can focus on what matters most

Every day thousands of employees at hospitals, clinics and administrative workplaces come to work to make a difference for patients and citizens in the Capital Region of Denmark and in the upcoming Region of Eastern Denmark. But before the doctor can access the patient journal, before the nurse can document treatment, or before the researcher can work with data, yes, the technology must function.

This is where you come in.

We are looking for two experienced IT support specialists for our Service Desk, where you will become part of the digital lifeline in the Region of Eastern Denmark. You will help your colleagues at the hospitals solve their IT challenges so they can focus on what matters most: treatment, care, research and service to citizens.

For us, IT is not just about systems and support. It’s about people and it’s about life. And yes, it’s about getting one of Denmark’s largest and most complex health systems to operate every single day.

Join the front line in the digital support of healthcare

As an IT support specialist in Service Desk, you are often the first contact users meet when something doesn’t work. You will become part of a team that provides support to around 44,000 employees in the Capital Region of Denmark but soon 66,000 employees in the upcoming Region of Eastern Denmark across hospitals, psychiatry, administration and other health services.

The majority of work is telephone-based, but you also help users via chat and our digital service portal.

You must be able to create calm, overview and solutions when users need help. Sometimes it’s about simple questions. Other times about critical problems that must be solved quickly so work can continue. It requires both technical understanding and a desire to help people.

A daily life with responsibility, variety and contact with many people

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • provide 1st level support to employees across Region of Eastern Denmark via telephone, chat and service portal
  • troubleshoot and resolve issues in Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • register, follow up on and handle IT inquiries professionally and efficiently
  • ensure a good user experience through clear communication and high service

You thrive when you can help others

You are motivated by solving problems and making a difference for people in their workday.

You know that good IT support is as much about communication as it is about technology, and you manage to meet users with professionalism, calm and respect.

We imagine that you

  • have a relevant IT education, e.g. as IT support specialist or similar
  • have experience from a Service Desk, hotline, support function or similar
  • have solid experience with Microsoft Windows and troubleshooting in Windows 11
  • have knowledge of Microsoft 365 and general user support
  • communicate clearly and professionally in Danish and can operate in English
  • thrive in an environment with many daily inquiries and changing tasks

The most important thing, however, is not the number of years on your CV. It is your desire to help, learn new things and contribute to a strong community.

More than a support team

In Service Desk we believe that the best results are created together. You will become part of a professionally strong team with high helpfulness, great commitment and an informal tone. We prioritize collaboration, knowledge sharing and thorough onboarding so you get the best prerequisites to succeed in the role. Therefore you will receive, among other things:

  • a mentor who helps you get started
  • skilled colleagues and a strong professional community
  • paid lunch break, pension scheme, fruit scheme and social events

In addition, we offer opportunities for personal and professional development, the possibility of remote work and flexitime arrangements in consideration of daily operations.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is in accordance with one of the agreements listed below. The starting salary may vary depending on your seniority, experience, education and the geographical location of the workplace.

Agreement

Agreement for administration and IT personnel, etc. 32.01.1

Agreement for craftsmen, etc. 32.23.1

  • Specialists
  • Professional bachelor's degree holders in administration/IT

In addition to the starting salary you may have

  • entitlement to allowances under local pre-agreements.
  • entitlement to special allowances, e.g. for evening, night and weekend work.
  • possibility to negotiate individual allowances depending on the position as well as your experience and qualifications.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, and your primary place of employment will be Borgervænget 5, 2100 Copenhagen Ø with free parking and good connections by train and bus. There will be meetings and activities in the upcoming Region of Eastern Denmark at other locations, including Ringsted.

Service Desk is open 24/7, 365 days a year, and the working hours for this role are

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00-15:30
  • Friday: 08:00-15:00

Want to be part of it?

If you enjoy helping people, solving technical problems, and being an important part of the digital support of the health service, we would love to hear from you. For when the technology works, doctors, nurses and the rest of the health service can focus on what matters most: People.

If you want to know more about the position, you are welcome to contact team coordinator Jonas Gensmann Nielsen on telephone 29 35 14 72 or email [email protected]

Application procedure

Send your application, CV and educational certificates online via the link on this page no later than November 4. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and look forward to hearing from you.

Start as soon as possible and no later than January 1, 2027.

We become YOURS

On January 1, 2027, the Capital Region of Denmark and the Region Zealand will be merged into the Region of Eastern Denmark. In the new region, the corporate operations area Digitalisation and Technology (DIT) will be established, with around 1,600 employees, making it Denmark’s largest public health technology center.

DIT is built on strong professional environments from both the Capital Region of Denmark and the Region of Zealand. We want to combine the best of both organizations and create a shared culture characterized by cooperation, high professionalism, curiosity and respect for different perspectives.

You will become part of an organization in development, where in the coming years we will harmonize solutions, workflows and collaborations across a larger region. Together we shape the future digital health service and create technological solutions that make a difference for the region’s patients, citizens, partners and employees.
