About the job

Nødebogård is the right place for you if you

  • Are an experienced psychologist and ready for new professional challenges in an environment characterized by high complexity, close collaboration and a strong collegial spirit
  • Believe that the well-being and development of children and youth is important and something you want to explore
  • Wish for a workplace with diversity in tasks, where you have both individual talks, family conversations, treatment meetings and supervision
  • If you want to be part of a workplace where emphasis is placed on a holistic treatment with a multidisciplinary approach and, in addition, a close collegial community and cooperation
  • If personal professional development and case supervision are important to you

Since one of our skilled psychologists is going on maternity leave, we are seeking a psychologist to be part of our 24-hour department located in Bagsværd.

In the job as psychologist in Bagsværd you will have an exciting and varied daily life, where you contribute to developing and qualifying the department's treatment initiatives in close interdisciplinary collaboration with the manager, social worker, pedagogues, teachers and the organization’s other psychologists.

You will be a psychologist at a department where you meet the children and youths in their familiar surroundings and daily life. The daily attendance is at the institution in Bagsværd. However, in connection with supervision, joint teaching, professional group meetings + possibly ad hoc meetings, attendance may be at the main campus in Nødebo.

Your tasks are diverse and will include activities such as psychology conversations with the children/youths, family conversations, defusings with staff after violent incidents, help with implementing relevant treatment measures, leading treatment meetings and ongoing sparring with the department's other staff. There may possibly be supervision tasks during your employment, but these are not planned for the time being.

You will become part of well-functioning mono-disciplinary and multidisciplinary teams. The psychologists regularly advise each other and participate in a common mono-disciplinary supervision group, currently with supervision by an external supervisor. Additionally you will also receive individual external supervision.

There are a total of 4 psychologists employed at Nødebogård.

The target group at Nødebogård Bagsværd is normally gifted children and youths aged 12-18 with complex psychiatric and social challenges and often problematic school absence. As a starting point, the young people admitted to Bagsværd department often struggle with serious self-harm and suicidal behavior.

The Bagsværd department of Nødebogård is partly closed, and the youths who are admitted to use of the closed area can be kept here for shorter periods if they are acutely at risk to themselves or others. Several of the youths living in Bagsværd receive education in the department’s school premises, where they are taught by teachers from Nødebogård’s internal school.

The treatment at Nødebogård takes its starting point in a multi-theoretical approach, where the approach and the treatment plan are arranged individually with a focus on the child’s resources and need for support. In general we draw on the best from neuro-educational, systemic, narrative, mentalizing and cognitive theories and methods.

In addition we work pedagogically with gentle emergency intervention and low arousal, to prevent and reduce conflicts and use of force.

Presence and care are a large part of the framework, and it is a priority for us that our youths feel seen and understood, and are met with an open and curious approach.
