About the job

Do you want to use your social work expertise where it truly makes a difference?

In the Supervisory Department Næstved we work every day with people who are in complex life situations – and who need both support, structure and clear frameworks to move forward toward a life without crime.

We are seeking a social worker or social facilitator for a permanent full-time position with start as soon as possible.

With us you will be part of a workplace with high professionalism, strong collegiality and an important social responsibility.

A meaningful job – and people at the center

The Supervisory Department Næstved is part of Denmark’s Prisons. We work with people who have been sentenced to, for example, suspended sentences, parole, treatment sentences and community service.

Our common task is to support people in creating a crime-free life through clear frameworks, relationships, motivation and high-quality social work.

We prepare pre-sentence reports for the court, conduct supervision and work closely with municipalities, psychiatry, police and treatment facilities. At the same time we work in a structured and professionally grounded way with LS/RNR, MOSAIK and motivational interviewing.

With us you will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks, training in LS/RNR and MOSAIK, as well as high professionalism and sparring in everyday work. We prioritize a strong collegial community where people help each other and never face difficult cases alone. The work can be demanding, and therefore we place great value on collaboration, humor and a good working environment.

How does a typical day look?

No day is the same with us.

You will, among other things, work with

  • carrying out supervision processes and conversations with clients
  • preparing person reports, action plans and assessments
  • motivating clients to create a crime-free everyday life
  • collaborating with municipalities, psychiatry and the treatment system
  • following up on conditions set by the court or the prosecuting authority
  • conducting checks on community service – also on occasions outside normal working hours

You must be able to navigate the intersection between social work and official duties. This means you must be able to support, motivate and set requirements.

Opportunity for specialization within community service

The Supervisory Department Næstved has a steady stream of clients in community service, and the area constitutes a significant part of our work.

There will be an opportunity for a position where parts of the tasks are more geared toward work with community service. Here you will get a more enterprise-oriented role focusing on establishing and developing collaborations with community service sites as well as supporting stable and meaningful pathways for the clients.

The tasks may include, among others

  • being proactive regarding new community service sites
  • establishing and maintaining collaborations with businesses, institutions and social offerings
  • following up on quality and cooperation around community service paths
  • working more specialized with clients who are completing community service
  • Our community service sites span broadly and include, among others, recycling shops, municipal offerings, cultural institutions, associations and social organizations.

Who are you?

You are educated as a social worker or social facilitator and thrive in working with people in complex life situations.

Perhaps you have experience from social psychiatry, the addiction field, authority work or similar – perhaps you are newly graduated with the right motivation and professional curiosity.

We especially emphasize that you

  • work independently and in a structured way
  • can articulate yourself clearly – both in writing and orally
  • can build relationships while also clearly occupying the authority role
  • can maintain calm and overview in complex cases
  • are eager to contribute to a strong collegial community
  • thrive in collaboration with both clients and external partners
  • have a valid driving license category B.

Why you should choose us

With us you get a meaningful job where you every day help make a difference for people and for society. You will become part of a workplace with high professionalism, great freedom under responsibility and colleagues who help each other.

We believe that the best solutions are created in collaboration, and we prioritize both professional development, well-being and a good working environment.
