As a day-care provider you work from home and plan your own day. Whether you live in an apartment or a house doesn’t matter, as long as you are focused on creating the best surroundings and an attractive environment for the children, and like us, you value the daily work in your own home.

Your key tasks

The work as a day-care provider is the world’s most important job, because you daily support children in their well-being, development, learning and formation in collaboration with parents and other colleagues. You enter into close collaboration with a fixed group of day-care providers when you meet weekly in our playroom. In addition, various activities are planned continuously with other colleagues, based on the children’s development. You thus have the opportunity to become part of a positive, innovative and motivating learning community, where the starting point is "To be a child has value in itself".

Desire for professional development in a community

We work with the strengthened curriculum, where a safe and stimulating pedagogical learning environment is the starting point for children’s learning. As a day-care provider you should want to work exploratively and curiously, where you support children’s nearest development zone. Experience or not, most important of all is that you find working with the youngest meaningful and developmental.

Parental collaboration

In day care we place high value on close parental collaboration, and it is our belief that good parental collaboration strengthens the child’s ability to thrive and develop as best as possible.

Who are we?

In Ballerup we are lucky to be able to offer children, parents and day-care providers wonderful surroundings in our day-care house, to which there are attached two pedagogues and two assistants. In addition there are two supervising pedagogues and an educational leader in the house. The day-care house’s permanent staff can also be used as a resource in the playrooms, where you as a day-care provider meet once a week, in a fixed team.

In the day-care house, the fixed staff and good routines ensure that the children meet predictability and safe surroundings, even on days they are not with their own day-care provider. As a day-care provider you can use the house when you seek inspiration, work with themes, do activities in larger groups of children, as well as when you need to take holidays or in case of illness.

Supervision

In the day-care we have ongoing supervision conducted by our two day-care pedagogues. The supervision helps to qualify the daily pedagogical work, where there is also plenty of opportunity to receive and seek sparring.

Your competences

• You live in Ballerup municipality
• You make your home available as a care offering
• You, partner and children living at home over 15 years give consent to the collection of criminal and child background checks
• You are passionate about working with children aged 0-3 years.

What you get with us

Your weekly working hours will be 48 hours, and fall within the time window 07:00-16:45 Monday-Thursday and Friday 07:00-16:00. As a day-care provider you will have four children enrolled for care. In addition, 7 extra days off are earned annually, triggered by various meeting activities. For example, we have annually:

• An education day which typically falls on a Saturday, or May 1
• A parent meeting
• Three PM meetings.

Salary and employment

We offer salary and employment terms according to the collective agreement for day-care workers in municipalities. Employment is based on the principles of local wage formation and after agreement with the negotiating represented organization.

The salary range for the position is 36,000 DKK – 39,000 DKK per month without pension for full-time employment (37 hours per week).

The final salary is determined after negotiation between the employer and the trade organization that has bargaining rights in the relevant collective agreement area. The salary depends, among other things, on your education, documented seniority and qualifications.
