Who are we

In Ballerup Municipality we have a Children and Youth Policy that forms the basis for our daily work. Words like community, education and leisure are pervasive in the close work and the professional assessments.

We are ambitious and we set the bar high in our work with children, young people and families. We believe that if we are in close dialogue with those involved and start from their wishes and needs, we create the best conditions for children and young people to develop positively. We also have a strong focus on involving children and young people in their own case, both in meetings with them and in the written documentation.

We collaborate across professional borders to find solutions together with the children, the young people and the families, and we do not let professional and organizational divisions hinder good solutions. Ballerup Municipality works with Integrated Citizen Pathways as a cross-municipal method, where the interdisciplinary collaboration, among other things, takes place.

The Child and Adolescent Advisors work in district teams and handle all types of cases and tasks, so the range is broad. We have chosen this to avoid unnecessary advisor changes in line with the intentions of the Child Act, but also because we believe it helps create skilled child and adolescent advisors.
