We are establishing a new large day care and are seeking engaged employees who, together with us, want to develop a safe, present, and professionally strong day care offer for the youngest children. The large day care should build on the qualities we know from day care: small groups of children, close relationships, security, presence, and close collaboration with parents.

The difference is that you are several day care providers working together at the same workplace and sharing responsibility for the children and everyday life. We want a large day care where there is room for both immersion, play, outdoor life, routines, good learning environments, and the small moments that are so meaningful for the well-being and development of young children.

You work in spaces designed for the large day care, and when the workday ends, you go home and have your private home to yourself.

The working hours are planned in a work schedule, where people take turns having early and late workdays.

Three day care workers are sought for 37-hour positions.

We expect that you

• are passionate about working with children aged 0-2 years
• are eager to work professionally and pedagogically with children – where you always have the children’s well-being, learning, and development in focus
• can stand on your own professional feet and be part of a committed work community.
• have a good intuition and can create security and good relationships through care and presence
• can see the individual child's needs and plan everyday life from those needs
• want good collaboration – with children, parents, colleagues and day care pedagogues
• are able to work closely with cross-disciplinary partners; for example speech therapists, physiotherapist/occupational therapist, Cross-Disciplinary Team, Health Visitors and others.
• are keen to help develop something new, take responsibility and actively contribute to joint solutions
• contribute to practical tasks that accompany daily life in a large day care.

All new day care workers participate in programs with day care education – including ICDP, language, body and movement, learning and development environments, parental cooperation and first aid. You will be equipped for the work of translating Day Care’s curriculum in relation to how you create the best framework for the children’s learning, well-being, development and formation.

Your salary and terms of employment are according to the applicable collective agreement between KL and the representative organization. References, criminal and child protection checks will be obtained before final employment.
