We are seeking an engaged and caring social- and health care helper/social- and health care assistant for our evening shift, who wishes to make a difference in the residents’ daily lives and contribute to good collaboration within a strong collegial community.

The position is 37 hours per week with a start on December 1, 2026. We are flexible and will, as far as possible, try to accommodate your preferences for working hours.

The position involves working every 2nd weekend in odd weeks for the rest of 2026 and even weeks in 2027.

• have experience from the elderly care sector or a desire to develop your competences within care and nursing.
• be good at creating security, presence and structure in the residents’ daily lives.

• have experience with IT and documentation or be motivated to learn it.

About Thurøhus

Thurøhus Care Center is located on the scenic Thurø in tranquil surroundings – just a beautiful walk across Skårupøresund from Funen. Here we place the residents’ current life situation and their dreams at the center, and it is they who set the course for our work. Our team consists of about 40 dedicated employees, spread across social- and health care helpers, social- and health care assistants, nurses, apprentices, students and flex jobs.

In Svendborg Municipality, the salary for this type of position typically ranges between DKK 33,962 and 46,820 per month for full-time employment. The salary includes pension, special holiday allowance and fixed allowances. There may also be shift allowances and other special payments. It is important to note that your specific salary will be determined based on your experience, seniority and competencies and will be negotiated with the relevant trade union.
