About the job

Are you professionally grounded, thrive with responsibility and want to be part of a department with a fantastic interdisciplinary collaboration? Then apply for one of the positions and get a workplace where there is high professional quality, skilled and experienced colleagues and a thorough introduction.

Short about the positions

We are seeking 2 occupational therapists who want to work with assessment, rehabilitation and retraining in neurology.

The work takes place both in our neurological emergency department and in our rehabilitative stroke department. You will primarily work with patients with acquired brain injury in both short assessment processes and longer rehabilitation pathways.

What they have in common is that we have a strong inclusive interdisciplinary work environment, where the therapists have a large share in planning the good patient pathways.

This is a permanent position of 35 hours per week and a temporary position of 37 hours per week.

Who are we?

The Physical and Occupational Therapy Department at Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is a clinically cross-sectional department with its own research unit. We are passionate about making a professional difference, and therefore research, development and new thinking are a priority for us.

We take responsibility for our professional standard including implementing new knowledge, treatment and measurement methods as well as holding journal clubs and workshops.

You will become part of our aphasia team, where we are 11 occupational therapists and 11 physiotherapists. The team has strong professional and social relations, and we always help each other when needed.

The team is part of the neurological group, where we total 27 therapists and a research and development therapist.

We participate in several work groups both mono- and multi-disciplinary with the aim of improving and developing patient pathways primarily in neurology. Currently we are focusing on implementing FIM, group exercise and health competencies

Your primary tasks will consist of

  • Acute ADL- and swallowing assessments of neurological patients with setting of goals and plan as well as recommendations for further retraining needs and discharge destination.
  • Rehabilitation with further treatment and retraining of patients admitted with acquired brain injury.
  • Close collaboration with the patient, relatives and the interdisciplinary team about the patient’s rehabilitation pathway among others by participating in the DIS (Den Inddragende Stuegang).

We imagine that you

  • Are passionate about the neurological specialty, have knowledge of dysphagia and cognitive dysfunctions.
  • Are professionally grounded, strong in your clinical reasoning and can communicate it orally as well as in writing
  • Thrive in a hospital setting and can handle working with seriously ill people and their relatives.
  • Can work independently and are good at having an overview and prioritizing.
  • Have good collaboration skills and see it as natural to involve cross-disciplinary collaborators in patient pathways and task solutions.

We offer

  • Skilled and engaged mono- and cross-disciplinary colleagues who prioritize thorough introduction, professional sparring and knowledge sharing highly
  • An exciting and varied everyday life with professional challenges and responsibility, where you never stand alone.
  • Focus on research and development, where there is an opportunity to influence the occupational therapy- and rehabilitation efforts and development work.
  • Positive expectations of you, and a management that prioritizes professional and personal development, innovation and well-being highly.

Employment terms

The permanent position starts from January 1, 2027

The temporary position runs from January 1 to July 31, 2027

You must be prepared for flexible meeting times within 8-17 on weekdays. You will join weekend and holiday on-call arrangements in a 6-week cycle. Local allowances for on-call have been negotiated.

Salary and employment terms follow the collective agreement for non-leading staff for physiotherapists, occupational therapists and midwives, entered into among others by Danish Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapy Association and the Regions' Pay and Fee Board.
