About the job

Repost

We are in full swing strengthening our health care efforts at Thorupgården Area 3 – and now we are missing the final piece in our new health care key personnel team. Are you an experienced social and health care assistant, and are you motivated by taking a central role where you can use your health care competencies, create overview, and help develop the quality of our efforts?

Then it might be you we are looking for.

Thorupgården is a social psychiatric residential facility in Nørrebro, Copenhagen Municipality. We offer places to citizens who are referred under the Social Services Act sections 107 and 108, but have recently transitioned to a pure § 107 service. This change means that the care intensity is expected to gradually decrease as citizens referred under § 108 move out of the facility. At the same time, we are strengthening our health care efforts and are therefore increasing with more health care colleagues.

Your tasks

You will become part of a small, interdisciplinary team with four to five employees sharing responsibility for 11-12 residents. The position differs from a traditional key worker role in that your primary focus is to ensure quality and coherence in health care efforts across the team’s residents. Therefore you will only be a key worker for one resident.

Your main areas of responsibility

  • Health care overview: You ensure a strong professional overview in the team
  • Health care documentation: You tie things together so that journals are updated and systematized, and clinical documentation meets current standards, so health data and pedagogical approaches are aligned
  • Medication responsibility: You have the overall responsibility for medication dosing and ordering for the team’s residents with a focus on patient safety and overview
  • Focused key worker function: You function as the key worker for a single resident
  • Coordinator for processes: You are the coordinator for somatic and psychiatric processes, identifying the resident’s health challenges and supporting relevant issues
  • Professional sparring: You provide professional sparring to your colleagues
  • SSA tasks: You handle health care tasks within the SSA competence area, including wound care, depot injections, observation, follow-up and coordination of residents’ health status

Our professional approaches

We work with a rehabilitative, recovery-oriented approach and with a Trauma-Informed Approach (TIA). The target group is citizens with complex psychiatric issues, often combined with substance abuse. We focus on strengthening each citizen’s opportunities to live as independently as possible and creating coherence between the health care and social-pedagogical efforts.

We are looking for a social- and health care assistant who

  • has authorization as a social- and health care assistant
  • has experience with medication management, health care documentation and coordination of citizen pathways
  • preferably has experience from social psychiatry or a similarly complex area
  • is professionally grounded, curious about their own practice and open to ongoing reflection and evaluation
  • remains calm, structured, and keeps an overview in a daily life characterized by high complexity
  • actively contributes to a good and constructive collaboration

We offer

  • a professionally ambitious environment with a strong focus on collaboration, where your health care competencies are put to use in a new way
  • a work environment characterized by curiosity, openness and good humor
  • ongoing supervision as well as good opportunities for competence development and courses (e.g., in LA2, dual diagnoses, medications, etc.)
  • a high degree of influence on how the work is planned and carried out
  • free parking in a locked basement and the opportunity to train during working hours in our newly built training room

Employment terms

The position is a full-time role with start on December 1, 2026, or as soon as possible. Working hours are in day and evening shifts, with a weekend shift every 3 weekends. Salary and employment conditions follow the applicable collective agreement and within the framework of local pay formation. We will obtain a criminal record check and take references in connection with the employment.
