Position : Lead Social Worker

The Kujalleq Municipality is in a very special situation, where the Inatsisartut Act on support for children is suspended. This means that we are a department in transition and that the Naalakkersuisut has had overall responsibility for the administration since November 2024. In your daily life, you can feel it as we work closely with social workers and management from the Social Services Agency. As lead social worker you will be able to receive professional sparring and backing to grow in the role, and to create sustainable frameworks for your colleagues.

Your new tasks will include

·Contribute to developing new initiatives that strengthen the well-being of children and young people.

·have an important coordinating and leading role in daily life for caseworkers and case processing.

·be involved in ensuring direction and professional quality in close collaboration with the caseworkers.

·Work preventively and outreach – both in the local community and through cross-sector collaboration.

·Take ownership of cases and case processing to ensure progress in the matters.

·Contribute to employee well-being by taking responsibility for employee well-being, development and administration such as: social on-call planning.

About you

We envision that you are a trained social worker with the right heart. You are good at staying calm and creating an overview. You have drive and enjoy working with colleagues to lift vulnerable children and young people in Kujalleq Municipality.

It is advantageous if you

·are a trained social worker, preferably with relevant further training.

·have experience with leadership or are willing to try your hand at it.

·Salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Atorfillit Kattuffiat for Social Workers and Case Workers employed under Self-Government and the Greenlandic municipalities.

Child certificate

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. Under the law, recruitment may begin only after the municipality has obtained a child certificate.

The child certificate will be included in the municipality's assessment of who should be hired for the position

Personal housing is provided, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.

Free relocation travel and household moving allowances are provided – and after at least 3 years of employment - termination and household moving allowances according to applicable rules.
