Børnehuset Abildvænget provides a framework for a safe, developing and educational daily life for 52 preschool children and 32 infant children .

We work from a shared pedagogical vision, where we believe children develop best when they are met with curiosity, presence and positive expectations . We are focused on creating good and inclusive learning environments, where all children have the opportunity to participate and feel themselves as a valuable part of the community.

In the kindergarten, we are organized into three age-delimited core groups with about 4 adults in each group.

As part of the kindergarten groups we have 11 places for children in need of shielding and/or compensatory interventions - our Moon Places and Resource Places.

The fact that we have children in Moon Places and Resource Places included in the general child community means that the child groups are smaller while staffing norms are maintained.

The nursery consists of four rooms and has eight shielded Moon Places, which are integrated into the rooms. That means that in each room there are two shielded and six general places.

Our pedagogical foundation

Our pedagogical work is based on the strengthened pedagogical curriculum.

In addition, we are trained in the neuro-pedagogical perspective .

We are attentive to how our view of the child, our relationships and our moods affect the children. We know that the adult makes a difference – and therefore we also focus on our own professionalism, well-being and way of being together.

For us, good pedagogy includes being curious about what lies behind the child's actions, and creating frameworks where children can succeed, develop and feel themselves as part of the community.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. In connection with the recruitment process, references, criminal record check and child protection clearance will be obtained for the applicant considered for employment. The certificates are included in the overall final assessment.
