About the job

Do you have experience with bookkeeping and finance – and a desire to develop within property management? Then you may be the person we are looking for for Borch Attorneys' property management.

We are looking for a candidate with a solid foundation in bookkeeping and finance. If you also have experience with property management, that is an advantage – but not a requirement. The most important is that you work in a structured way, have a knack for numbers and administration, and want to eventually take responsibility for your own portfolio of properties.

THE COMPANY

Borch Attorneys is a modern and locally rooted law firm with offices in Svendborg, Nyborg and Assens.

The company advises both private individuals and corporate clients and emphasizes high professional standards, nearby advice and long-term client relationships. The culture is informal and down-to-earth with short decision pathways, freedom with responsibility and close collaboration across disciplines.

In addition to the legal core services, Borch Attorneys runs a property management department, which handles the ongoing financial and administrative operations of properties for the firm's clients. It is this part of the business that you will become a central part of.

THE POSITION

You will join the daily property management team and will have a broad role with both financial, administrative, and client-facing tasks. The position can be tailored to your background and experience. If you have not previously worked in property management, you will have the opportunity to gradually get to know the area.

The ambition is that over time you can take on a broad role and have responsibility for your own portfolio of properties, where you become a key contact for owners, tenants and other partners.

Your tasks will include, among other things

  • Bookkeeping, ongoing reconciliations, invoicing, creditor management and payment of suppliers.
  • Preparation of budgets, accounts and financial reporting to owners, boards and associations.
  • Administration of leases – including re-letting, advertising on rental portals, registrations, changes, move-outs and ongoing adjustments.
  • Preparation and handling of utility accounts.
  • Contact with tenants, owners, tradespeople and public authorities.
  • Coordination of maintenance tasks and follow-up with tradespeople and ongoing works.
  • Management of the daily operations around the properties with focus on high-quality and professional service to customers and tenants.

The position reports to Partner, Attorney Michael Vestergaard.

CANDIDATE

You have experience with bookkeeping and finance – but your concrete background can vary.

You might, for example, be a bookkeeper, accounting assistant, finance assistant or have another administrative background where bookkeeping and finance have been a significant part of your tasks. If you do not have experience with property management, that is not a hindrance. Borch Attorneys will provide the necessary training so you can gradually develop within the area.

Experience with the property management system Unik Bolig would be an advantage, but is not a requirement.

As a person, we expect that you

  • Work in a structured, systematic way with an eye for detail.
  • Have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and finance.
  • Are independent and take responsibility for your tasks.
  • Are good at following up and completing tasks.
  • Thrive in a daily life with both fixed routines and varied tasks.
  • Have a naturally service-oriented approach.
  • Enjoy contact with customers, tenants and partners.
  • Communicate clearly and properly – both verbally and in writing.
  • Want to develop professionally and over time take on greater responsibility.
  • Thrive in a small organization where people work closely together and help each other.

WORKPLACE

The position is initially located at Borch Attorneys' office in Svendborg, but there is also the possibility that your daily workplace can be at the Nyborg or Assens office – depending on the specific agreement.

There is the possibility of remote work after a closer agreement with the immediate supervisor.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

An attractive fixed salary will be offered depending on experience and competencies.

The position is initially full-time, but Borch Attorneys is open to dialogue about another weekly number of hours if it suits the right candidate.

In addition, good and flexible employment conditions with relevant employee benefits are offered, and the terms can be adjusted to the individual employee's needs and the specific agreement.
