The Sonjavej residential care home is seeking regular substitutes and student workers for 5-10 hours per week

• Sonjavej is a residential facility for 29 adults with developmental disabilities, who may exhibit challenging or self-harming behavior.
• Our residents are very diverse, and may require physical care.

Your role

At Sonjavej you start with a short overlap where the day's tasks and special knowledge are shared. On a workday you work together with our residents on the day’s tasks. No two days are alike, and we meet the residents where they are on the day. You will, for example, assist residents with personal care, pedagogical guidance, cooking, laundry, medication, conversations, and much more.

We are seeking different profiles for different tasks.

There are 4 vacancies

Student job : We are looking for student helpers about 10 hours per week on average.

You must be a student in a higher education program – for example pedagogy / social work / occupational therapy, etc. Your schedule will mainly be every other weekend and holidays

Regular substitutes : We are looking for regular substitutes for 5-10 hours per week on average.

We expect that you have an interest and flair for the pedagogical and health care work. You have experience, relevant education or otherwise know about working with people who have developmental disabilities. Your schedule will be day and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends.

It is advantageous if you have a B driving license, as there are occasional drives in our minibus or car.

We are talking about mixed shifts, mainly day and evening on all days of the week. Working hours are between 6:45 – 22:00. There may be occasional night shifts.
