About the job

Brøndby PPR seeks psychologists for a permanent position and a maternity-leave cover

At PPR Brøndby, we are looking for two psychologists – one for a permanent position and one for a maternity-leave cover. We have, among other things, gained additional resources for the collaboration with Heldagstilbuddet Nørregård, which is Brøndby municipality's far-reaching specialized school- and after-school offering for children with autism spectrum disorders and significant functional impairments.

At PPR Brøndby we are dedicated to contributing to meaningful positive changes for children and young people in their development environments and communities. We do this both through our work with the traditional PPR tasks and our new initiatives, which for the psychology group include NUSSA, supervision in early childhood education/school, and the Diamond program. In addition, the psychologists in PPR undertake a large portion of the tasks within our accessible treatment offerings.

In addition to this, we are fond of pilot initiatives, which we continuously set in motion across disciplines. In PPR Brøndby, the culture is characterized by curiosity, professional discussions, and engagement. If you can see yourself fitting into that, we would love to welcome you from 1 January 2027

A bit about what you will enter into

It is important to us to be relevant partners for children, young people, and their families as well as for professionals in the field. We therefore focus on making a real difference close to everyday life and in practice. We do this with a basis in high professionalism, good collaboration habits, creative solutions, and an awareness and care for the situations and complexities that both children, young people, families, and external colleagues face.

To support a high professional level we have, among other things, regular external supervision for all psychologists and special education supervisors, as well as specially designed supervision programs for psychologists under authorization. Additionally, there are ongoing opportunities to participate in conferences and courses.

As a new employee you can expect a good introduction program so you feel prepared to take on the tasks ahead – regardless of whether you come with a lot or a little experience. In addition, you will be assigned a mentor at startup. Furthermore, both the psychology professional coordinator, team leader, and PPR leader are all psychologists with several years of experience from PPR.

What the job involves

You will be part of cross-disciplinary as well as independent tasks. We have tasks in both the general and special areas and collaborate on all children in the 0-18 age group in the municipality, and there is also the possibility of supporting the collaboration around children with very significant disabilities.

In all these tasks there is sparring and advising of pedagogues, teachers, and management, involvement of parents, psychological assessments (including tests and observations), and whatever else you professionally deem will support the development, learning, and well-being of children and young people.

There is extensive work to support the adults in the network around the child/young person, just as we have a sharpened focus on not viewing the child/young person in isolation from their context, but directing efforts toward the child/young person’s teaching and learning environment.

Brøndby municipality's accessible treatment is primarily handled by psychologists in PPR, and the psychologists in PPR also handle the municipality's crisis support for children and young people, which could be one of your tasks. It is important to us to assemble a task portfolio that makes sense for the individual as well as for the overall task solution.

  • Have experience with PPR or other aspects of the child/adolescent area.
  • Stands strong in your psychological expertise and understands how to use it to communicate, inspire, and involve others in their work around children, young people, and communities – sometimes with a basis in psychological assessments, but largely in your psychological sparring and inspiration.

  • Understand how to navigate the complexity that often characterizes PPR tasks. You keep your courage up and your calm.

  • Are willing, in a spirit of dialogue, to be challenged in both your practice and your thoughts/ideas – just as you are generous with your knowledge and contribute positively to the shared task of creating high professionalism, good collegiality, and good well-being.
  • Collaborate and preventively work together with the adults around children and young people.
  • Have experience working with the target group for the Heldagstilbuddet Nørregård.
