Psychiatric outpatient clinic Ballerup is seeking a specialist psychologist in psychiatry for the outpatient's four FACT teams. The position targets you who want to bring your specialized competencies into work with patients with complex psychiatric problems, and who thrive with both independent clinical responsibility and active participation in joint treatment planning and professional development.

About F-ACT

The Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic Ballerup offers flexible, needs-based and outreach treatment based on the F-ACT model (Flexible Assertive Community Treatment). The interdisciplinary treatment offering is provided to patients in need of hospital-based psychiatric care. In the outpatient clinic we work with a wide spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses, including psychotic disorders, affective disorders, anxiety, PTSD and personality disorders.

The specialist psychologist position covers the entire F-ACT outpatient. We work in interdisciplinary teams and your closest colleagues will be doctors, specialists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists and recovery mentors as well as secretaries.

The outpatient clinic has implemented treatment pathways for patients with non-psychotic disorders based on cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy as well as integrated dual-diagnosis treatment of patients with concurrent substance use.

What does a typical day look like?

As a specialist psychologist you are expected to contribute with highly specialized psychological knowledge and function as a professional sparring partner in the team.

As a specialist psychologist you will furthermore take care of the following tasks

• Initial assessments and diagnostic clarification
• Psychopathological assessment; including personality assessment, assessment with SCID-V, PSE, possibly EASE and possibly assessment for ADHD and autism
• Psychological testing including WAIS testing
• Supervision and training of younger psychologists in F-ACT
• Possibility for individual therapeutic programs
• Psychoeducation
• Participation in conferences and treatment planning
• Participation in the psychology group’s cross-center task solving, including psych testings, debriefings, teaching and supervision of mono-disciplinary and/or interdisciplinary staff

We are looking for

You are a specialist psychologist in psychiatry with an interest in working with assessments and psychological evaluations of patients with complex conditions.

• Are a specialist psychologist in psychiatry with solid clinical experience
• Preferably psychotherapeutic training in cognitive behavioral therapy or dialectical behavior therapy
• Preferably experience or interest in psychological testing
• Supervision and teaching experience
• Thrives working independently and engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration
• Have an interest in contributing to a good working environment and being an active part of our work community

Salary and employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week with start on 1 December 2026 or by agreement.

You will be employed according to the agreement for academics employed in regions, etc.

The outpatient clinic is currently open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. Your working hours will therefore primarily fall within these hours.

About Psychiatric Center Ballerup

Psychiatric Center Ballerup (PCB) is a modern hospital with about 750 staff and main functions within emergency reception, inpatient, day and outpatient treatment. PCB has specialist functions in the treatment of PTSD, eating disorders, traumatized refugees, rehabilitation and deaf psychiatry. We work closely with Herlev Hospital regarding somatic complications and comorbidity, among other things via extended supervision and teaching. We have pre- and postgraduate education at all levels.

PCB Ballerup has a large group of psychologists of about 75 across the departments. You will be attached to the specialist psychologist group, where you across the center have opportunities for ongoing sparring and exchange of experiences.

There is free parking at PCB Ballerup and a really good canteen.
