BUPL-A seeks team leader as of December 1, 2026

BUPL-A is seeking a team leader for the unemployment fund's team for case processing and member service. The team leader shall, with a competent and sharp eye, steer the unemployment fund's core services in the balance between clear goals and efficient operation, a good dialogue-based leadership style, common sense, and a constant focus on what matters for the individual pedagogues' experience of excellent service in the unemployment fund.

BUPL-A is a well-run pedagogical unemployment fund that, through close collaboration with the union, has broad knowledge of the profession and the pedagogical labor market, making the unemployment fund offering for pedagogues unique.

A hallmark of the culture in BUPL-A is a high level of ambition, engaged employees, dialogue as the driving force for moving things and changing, and substantial influence on the joint development of BUPL-A.

There is little delay from idea to action, willingness to test things within the bounds of the law, and leadership that thrives when employees throw themselves into joint efforts to create the good member experience. You will have great influence on the operation and development of BUPL-A, and our goal is to be a strong and relevant unemployment fund offering to our members, and we are not in doubt that we are the best at getting pedagogues into work.

BUPL-A consists of 3 teams: Case Processing and Member Service, the Job Team, and the Secretariat.

We are located in the Pedagogues' House in Nordhavn.

Responsibilities

• The primary task is the management of Case Processing and Member Service
• You must ensure that the unemployment fund's core services are delivered efficiently, and that pedagogues experience high satisfaction in their encounter with BUPL-A
• You must, together with the employees, work for high well-being and job satisfaction
• You must, in collaboration with the other management and the employees, ensure that BUPL-A achieves the strategic milestones set by BUPL-A’s political leadership.

You will become part of a cohesive leadership team of 3 people (the director, the head of the Job Team, and you)

Profile

• You should have personal authority, integrity, and be a highly competent leader
• You should understand the substance of the tasks while also having an overview and be able to prioritize them in a balance between assurance and excellent service.
• You should be able to listen, make quick decisions and tackle what is difficult and necessary to solve the core task. You will be in close dialogue with the director.
• You should be able to act as a sparring partner for skilled caseworkers and member advisers
• You should have the ability and willingness to understand the pedagogues' labour market and use it as the focal point for task solving
• You should have strong collaboration skills and actively and constructively contribute in the collaboration with BUPL and PBU – the Pedagogues' Pension Fund
• You have a relevant education and experience with you, empathy, high spirits and a positive outlook.
