About the job

Do you want to develop advanced 3D measurement technology that is already used in the European timber industry?

At Dralle A/S we are looking for a skilled C++ developer with an interest in computer vision and 3D technology for our tScale™ development team.

We have developed tScale™ – an advanced measurement system that, using stereo cameras, 3D reconstruction and intelligent algorithms, automatically measures large quantities of timber and wood-based materials.

The technology is already in operation with industrial customers in Europe and is approved by the German metrology authority PTB for several applications.

We are now intensively working on the next generation of the system, including automatic 3D measurement of trucks with round timber, and are therefore looking for a new colleague for our development team.

Your responsibilities

You will become part of an experienced development team where you will have the opportunity to work on both the further development of our technology and concrete solutions for customers.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Development and optimization of algorithms for 3D Computer Vision and image processing.
  • Further development of our C++ based software platform.
  • Processing and analysis of 3D point clouds and stereo camera data.
  • Development of algorithms for automatic recognition, segmentation and measurement of timber.
  • Testing, validation and performance optimization of our measurement systems.
  • Customization and implementation of solutions for new customers and applications.
  • Close collaboration with our other software and hardware developers.

You will have a strong influence on the technical solutions and the opportunity to follow your work all the way from development and testing to practical use with customers.

We imagine that you

  • Have experience with C++ and object-oriented software development.
  • Have knowledge of Computer Vision, image processing or 3D geometry.
  • Have a relevant technical education, for example as software engineer, computer scientist or similar.
  • Work in a structured way and place emphasis on quality, testability and maintainable code.
  • Desire to work with complex technical problems and find practical solutions.
  • Thrive in a small team with close collaboration, knowledge sharing and an informal tone.
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks.

It is an advantage, but not a requirement, if you have experience with

  • OpenCV, PCL (Point Cloud Library) or similar libraries.
  • Stereo Vision, 3D Reconstruction and point cloud processing.
  • Machine Learning and AI-based image analysis.
  • Camera calibration and geometric algorithms.
  • Linux, Git, unit testing and continuous integration.

We place greater emphasis on your technical abilities, your curiosity and your ability to solve problems than on whether you have worked with exactly the same tools as us.

We offer

  • An exciting job with advanced technology and concrete industrial applications.
  • Opportunity to have real influence on the development of our products.
  • A competent and engaged development team with short decision paths.
  • An informal workplace with high professionalism and a great degree of freedom under responsibility.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of homeworking by arrangement.
  • Competitive salary, pension, health insurance and a lunch scheme.

Workplace: Hørsholm DTU until the move to Birkerød in March 2027.
