Can you make mathematics something that students look forward to? We are seeking an engaged mathematics teacher for our 5th year group, who will spark curiosity, create a joy of learning and help students discover how fun it can be to crack the code. We are looking for a teacher who makes the numbers meaningful.

At The School at Bülowsvej we have a special focus on creating opportunities for all children to succeed.

We are a well-functioning school with a focus on learning and well-being for both children and adults. We have a high level of academic output, which we have developed over many years through professional and pedagogical sparring, involvement at all levels and a shared desire to participate in meaningful communities that every day take care of the children’s well-being and learning in an inclusive environment.

Professional collaboration is an important part of our work and essential for all students to thrive and develop. Therefore we are seeking a mathematics teacher who is keen to work closely with colleagues and actively contribute to our shared responsibility for the children’s learning and well-being. As a mathematics teacher in the 5th year group you will have scheduled time for joint preparation with the other mathematics teachers of the year group.

The collaboration also includes a mathematics advisor, so you can together develop the teaching and make pedagogical and didactical choices based on a shared professional approach.

We work purposefully to develop our professional and pedagogical practices – both in the class community and in smaller communities across classes and year groups. It is important to us that all students experience the opportunity to participate and contribute in the school’s many communities. Here no one stands alone – neither children nor adults.

All teachers are attached to year-group teams and subject communities across the whole school. Collaboration is characterized by being close, professional and present.

We are development-oriented and have previously been awarded Frederiksberg Municipality’s Innovation Prize for our focus on varied and unconventional teaching. Therefore we are primarily looking for employee profiles who want to further develop our exciting school.

The School at Bülowsvej is centrally located in Frederiksberg and has almost 1,000 pupils from kindergarten to 9th grade. The staff consists of more than 120 employees who have a strong desire and willingness to collaborate and try new approaches. We have an informal atmosphere where dialogue and mutual trust are the basis for the work. In addition, we have Frederiksberg’s best staff association, a training center for all employees, and a fruit-desk with fruit scheme – life never stands still at The School at Bülowsvej.
