Caretaker Assistant for Haderslev Dementia Care Home

Haderslev Friplejehjem is seeking a janitor assistant in a newly established position who would like to get involved. Preferably someone with an interest in green work in the garden and other practical tasks. The position is 12-15 hours distributed over 3 days per week with flexibility.

Haderslev Friplejehjem is located in the scenic area by Haderslev Dam and consists of two wings with a total of 60 apartments and a larger service and common area. The wings are new, while the central part of the home with common living rooms, kitchen, offices etc. has undergone a larger renovation. Thus we have both new and old installations.

We are looking for a janitor assistant who, based on our values, will work to ensure that the home is daily inviting and attractive as both a home and a workplace.

Your tasks

Your tasks, planned in collaboration with the custodian, will among other things be

• maintenance of outdoor areas, such as garden, parking lot and related winter measures
• smaller building maintenance
• waste sorting and disposal of waste
• service and support of practical tasks in the house, such as preparation of apartments, moving tables/chairs, installation of ceiling hoists, cleaning of aids etc.
• Support during the custodian's vacation/absence regarding supply, heating, water and ventilation systems as well as other technical facilities, such as fire tests etc.

About you

We are looking for exactly you who

• have an interest in garden care including weeding, planting and pruning and can effectively use gardening tools and garden machines.
• have knowledge of and flair for understanding and handling technical installations or are ready to learn it.
• are welcoming and service-minded and can communicate in an acknowledging way with residents, relatives and colleagues.
• would preferably have a B driving license and are comfortable driving with a trailer and possibly a minibus.
• want to contribute to Haderslev Friplejehjem being a good home.

Practical information

The employment is 12-15 hours/week. Working hours will primarily be during weekday daytime.

The salary is set in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. In addition, we have various staff benefits, such as health insurance with preventive treatment, counseling and operations etc.

Start date: preferably from 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
