Caring pedagogical assistant with a love of nature, play and presence in the nursery

Nature Kindergarten House in Annisse is a lovely small institution in the heart of Annisse, with room for 57 outdoor kindergarten children and 24 nursery children. We are surrounded by scenic areas, which is also reflected in our wonderful play area.

We are focused on creating pedagogical learning environments where the child’s perspective is central, and where both indoor and outdoor environments are regarded as valuable learning spaces. For us, nature is not a theme – it is part of daily life. We go exploring all year round, follow the changing seasons and give the children experiences with nature through play, immersion and shared experiences.

About us

Nature Kindergarten House is a spacious and positive house, where professional reflections and meaningful conversations fill everyday life. We are the children’s voice and always keep an eye on how we best support their wellbeing, development and participation in the communities.

We bring our different competencies and professionalities into play across rooms, groups and teams. This strengthens both our professionalism and job satisfaction. At the same time we highly value laughing together and creating a daily life with room for smiles and a good mood.

We are an engaged staff group of 14 employees with high professionalism, great respect for each other and a strong sense of community. Together we work to create the best pedagogical frameworks. We prioritise the ability to plan and reflect together at the room meetings every 14 days.

We also have an engaged parent board and parents who want the best for both their own children and the community. We cherish our traditions, including Christmas party, summer party and workdays for children and parents.

Our approach to child life

We work from a neuropsychological and relational perspective. We see ourselves as positive role models and focus on care, attachment, safety, presence and recognizable routines. We believe in the importance of present and accessible adults who create a safe foundation for the children’s wellbeing and development.

We often work in smaller groups where there is room for calm, presence and good relationships. This provides the best conditions for both care, learning and development.

With our nature profile we have a special focus on children’s nature formation. We actively use nature to awaken curiosity, create shared experiences and give space for immersion. We often go exploring at Arresø, Butterfly Path and in the many green areas around us. We are passionate about giving our children both small and big nature experiences.

We are seeking a colleague who

• works from an appreciative, positive and resource-oriented view of humanity
• has interest in or experience with neuropsychological relational development play and attachment
• meets children with care and presence
• is present with the children and follows their initiatives and curiosity
• sees possibilities rather than limitations
• wants to strengthen the children’s knowledge of nature and outdoor life
• dare to wonder, and be curious about practice and involve themselves.

We are not looking for someone who can do everything from day one, you can be a helper or PAU – we are looking for a colleague who wants to be curious, learn new things and be part of our community.

The position is 37 hours.

Employment will take place in accordance with the applicable agreement for assistant positions between KL and FOA as well as Gribskov Municipality’s wage policy. The agreement can be read at www.kl.dk
