Case handler for emergency planning and crisis management at the Defence Material and Procurement Agency

When the security situation changes from day to day, the Defence must be able to rely on materiel and IT to function, also in crisis and war. You plan the readiness, train the organization to handle crises, and maintain an overview when the pace is at its peak. ABOUT US

The Operations Department at the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization is the link that translates strategy into action and keeps management informed about the operational reality so decisions can be made on an up-to-date basis. As a cross-cutting staff function, we support both the daily planning and the command of the Defence Ministry's Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse.

Our work ranges from intelligence and operations planning to training and operations support, which gives the Defence Ministry's Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse a permanent operational capability to handle crises when they arise. We are a team with both military and civilian backgrounds, varying levels of experience and competencies, and we maintain an informal tone in everyday life combined with a high professional ambition.

ABOUT THE POSITION

You are involved in ensuring that the Defence Ministry's Materiel- og Indkøbsstyrelse is ready to support the Armed Forces – also when crises and extraordinary events occur.

Your task is to strengthen the agency's preparedness and ensure that the relevant parts of the organization are involved when the situation requires it.

Your tasks include, among other things

• Crisis planning across the agency, where you lead projects and coordinate tasks.
• Threat and vulnerability assessments that support the agency's preparedness.
• Support for crisis exercises and collection of experiences that can strengthen preparedness.
• Crisis management, where you contribute to creating an overview and ensuring coordination in pressured situations.
• Collaboration with the Armed Forces and international partners.

You will have broad contact surface and the opportunity to build a strong professional network. At the same time you will influence how the agency prepares for future threats. Your areas of responsibility develop in line with your experience, and you will have the opportunity to strengthen your competencies through national and international courses.

ABOUT YOU

You probably have an academic education, but we are also open to other educational backgrounds. The most important is that you have an interest in readiness development and operations. If you also have knowledge of the Armed Forces or experience with operations or emergency planning, it is an advantage but not a requirement.

You work independently and take responsibility for carrying your tasks from start to finish. You keep an overview, even when the pace increases, and you easily build good relations across professional disciplines. In addition, you communicate clearly and precisely in both Danish and English – verbally and in writing.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

You are employed under the applicable collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiating supplements. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Ballerup.

As an employee under the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to some special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the security clearance throughout the employment relationship.

As an employee you have an obligation to perform service outside the country, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.
