About us

Aids & Communication is a department consisting of several functions and specialities, and the tasks range widely. You will meet colleagues who handle special education tasks within the area of speech/hearing/vision and ICT. Several work with case management, guidance, testing and selection of aids, just as we have our own depot function that handles delivery, return, washing and repair of aids.

Based on Fredericia Municipality's leadership and employee framework – WE DO IT FOR FREDERICIA; WE DO IT IN COMMUNITY, and WE DO IT PROPERLY – we work in Aids & Communication to help create the best possible conditions to alleviate citizens' functional limitations. We work with a high degree of employee influence as well as development of the workplace and the individual employee.

The vacant position is attached to our ADL team, which among other things has a specialty in assessing the citizen's functional ability and choosing the right second-hand aid/consumable item.

Tasks are carried out in close collaboration with the caseworker, colleagues in the depot and multi-disciplinary colleagues in care.

Your tasks

  • Case management regarding aids and housing adaptations under the Social Services Act §§ 112, 113 & 116 for adults.
  • Investigate and assess citizens' needs for rehabilitation.
  • Try out, advise and instruct citizens and relatives about relevant aids, consumables and housing adaptations with the aim of creating holistic solutions

We expect that you

  • are educated as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist
  • have experience with or an interest in case management of aids and thrive in a busy daily life with many inquiries and acute tasks
  • can work independently, are structured, have an overview and are flexible regarding tasks and can handle many balls in the air
  • can engage constructively in cross-disciplinary collaboration with colleagues, the depot and cross-disciplinary partners as well as citizens and their relatives
  • are willing to/have experience in collaborating with elderly and disabled people
  • are positive and have courage to develop
  • want to translate Fredericia Municipality's leadership and employee framework into daily actions
  • are flexible in scheduling work time in relation to collaboration with cross-disciplinary colleagues and citizens and relatives

We can offer

  • A workplace based on value-based leadership
  • A workplace with a good working environment
  • A varied area of work where we place great emphasis on development of the field and the employees
  • Close collaboration with colleagues in small teams
  • Close collaboration with citizens, other staff and suppliers
  • Opportunity to influence job content and job development
  • Self-organised work, considering task execution
  • Good interdisciplinary collaboration relations
  • An exciting, autonomous and challenging job.
