Working in the sickness benefit team requires that you can coordinate and plan your case handling based on both legislation and the individual citizen's situation.

It requires your ability to draw on your own and others' experiences, maintain an overview and use your judgement.

About the job

As a sickness benefits caseworker you will be responsible for your own caseload of citizens on sickness benefits and in job clarification programs. The core task is to develop citizens' resources through social-educational job rehabilitation focusing on quick and sustainable return to the labour market.

You will play a central role in ensuring a holistic and cross-disciplinary effort, where cooperation between citizen, company and the professionals around the course is close and coordinated.

Your daily tasks will be to

• collaborate with citizens and workplaces on return to work
• ensure early and meaningful contact with the involved parties, so the possibilities for retention are strengthened and utilized
• plan and coordinate programs and initiate relevant actions that develop and support the citizen's work capacity
• formulate professional assessments and decisions, so cases appear clear and transparent
• contribute to developing a more employment-focused and coherent effort in the municipality

The practical

Workplace: Town Hall in Højby – within walking distance from the station and close to route 21 with direct access to Roskilde and Copenhagen.

Working hours: The position is part of the municipality's local agreement on flexible working hours, with the possibility of a four-day work week.

Salary and employment terms: Salary according to collective agreement and your qualifications. The position is contingent on a valid driver's license and an approved criminal record, which will be obtained in connection with recruitment.
