At the same time we expect you to actively contribute to the department's joint task solving and share responsibility that we together reach our objectives. We place weight on flexibility, collaboration and a common understanding that we help each other across when tasks require it. With us, we share the goal of creating the best solutions for children, young people and families in Herlev Municipality.
About us
In the Children and Youth Advisory Service we strive to have management closer to everyday life. Three team leaders are responsible for the professional and personnel management of the advisors, which ensures both presence, sparring and focus on well-being. The overall leadership is handled by the manager of the authority and execution area in Herlev Municipality, so there is a clear direction and a coherent effort across the entire area.
We are located at the Town Hall Hjortespring and are organized in district-based teams based on Herlev's five public schools. This organization gives us close collaboration with schools and kindergartens and creates good opportunities for an early, holistic and coherent effort for the children, the young people and their families.
We work with children and young people aged 0-23 years and focus on finding the best solutions in close cooperation with the child or young person, the family and our interdisciplinary collaborators. We emphasize involving the family’s perspectives and resources as well as creating interventions that make sense and make a positive difference in daily life.
As a child and youth advisor, you will be part of a district-based team where we prioritize professional sparring, shared reflection and close collaboration across. We believe that the best solutions are created when we bring our different professionalities into play and work together to support the well-being, development and opportunities for children and young people.
In the Children and Youth Advisory Service 19 district advisors work with interventions for children and young people in vulnerable positions as well as for children and young people with challenges and reduced well-being. Two process leaders support holistic processes across departments, while the four advisors in the specialized advice handle cases about handicap-compensating benefits to parents with children with permanently reduced functional abilities.
Our reception consists of 4 advisors who handle acute cases, perform screening and 24-hour assessments. In addition, we have two family foster care consultants who work with children and young people in support stay or foster families, an STU coordinator who assesses youths for specially tailored education, and three administrative employees who support case processing.
The three team leaders work closely with the department head and ensure that the quality of our work is high, and that we continuously develop professionally.
