Church singer

A position as church singer at Aabenraa Parish is available as of January 1, 2027.

The position is 10 hours per week.

The church singer shall sing at funerals and burials in the Chapel, Aabenraa Cemetery, as well as at services and solemnities in St. Nicolai Church.

Aabenraa Parish is a large parish with 16,627 inhabitants. There are three churches and a total of 30 staff and 7 priests in the parish.

We expect you to have a basic knowledge of the Danish National Church, of religious ceremonies, and of the role as church singer.

We place emphasis on a professional and collaborative approach to the tasks.

There is a duty to perform service in connection with church ceremonies in the parish.

Employment of a church singer is covered by the Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and CO10-Central Organization of 2010 and the occupational agreement between the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs and CO10 for church functionaries with core tasks such as parish clerk, parish helper/church- and culture worker or church musician and the accompanying protocol for church musicians.

The annual salary is agreed within the range 333,748 DKK – 475,590 DKK (current kronor). The point of reference is 333,748 DKK. There is a commitment to be available to the position. The on-call allowance amounts to 27,641 DKK per year (current kronor)

Salary and on-call allowance are quota-based in accordance with the employment fraction of the position.

The parish council's proposed salary level is 97,672 DKK when employed at 10 hours (current kronor). An agreement on placement in the salary range is made between the parish council and the Danish Church Musicians Association.
