We are seeking a visionary and structured nurse who will function as the coordinating link in connection with our ongoing OECI accreditation (Organisation of European Cancer Institutes). A role of crucial importance for the department and the patients

The OECI accreditation is not merely a quality stamp on paper; it is a strategic project that has crucial importance for our department's professional development and for the oncology patients we treat every day. The process must ensure that our patients receive coordinated, evidence-based and internationally recognized cancer treatment of absolute top quality. The purpose is to strengthen the coherence between daily clinical practice, quality assurance and our strong research environment.

Your contribution will have direct influence on optimizing patient pathways and creating calm, direction and professional pride in the department.

About the position and your tasks

Your primary task will be to ensure that the accreditation process is successfully anchored in the department, and that clinical standards and workflows meet the requirements.

Your key tasks will be to

  • Collaborate closely with a physician from the department, who shares the professional and project-oriented responsibility for the process with you.
  • Ensure coordination up and down in the organization , including a close dialogue with the hospital's overall project manager as well as ongoing involvement, motivation and communication to colleagues in the department.
  • Collect, structure and document the department's workflows, data and guidelines in relation to the OECI standards. [1]
  • Facilitate and drive processes that translate accreditation requirements into concrete, meaningful improvements in the daily oncology practice.
  • Participate in daily oncological nursing (50% of your time) at the Clinical Oncology Department in Køge, ensuring that you maintain close contact with the clinic, your colleagues and the patient pathways.

We are looking for a profile who has

  • Strong and solid insight into the cancer field as well as experience as a nurse within the oncology specialty.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate professionally and in a trust-building manner with both doctors, nurses, management and hospital consultants.
  • Organizational understanding and a desire to navigate at the intersection of operations, clinical development and high-level project management.
  • Structure and impact , so you can keep an overview of deadlines and maintain engagement in the department during a major transformation process.
  • Experience with quality assurance , accreditation or project work (an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement).

What do we offer?

  • An important and responsible role , where you will have direct influence on the future of cancer treatment and quality assurance at the hospital.
  • A unique opportunity to develop your skills within project management, interdisciplinary collaboration and quality development .
  • A dynamic and ambitious department in Køge, where we in a completely new physical setting have a strong focus on a good and close cross-disciplinary community.
  • A fixed-term appointment of 3 years with a defined 50/50 split, so there is balance between your two functions.
