About the job

Do you want to help build something new – and set the direction for the future of occupational therapy in psychiatry?

For us, occupational therapy is not just about activities – it is about creating meaning, hope and development for people with complex psychiatric pathways.

We are seeking a clinical occupational therapy specialist who dares to step into a completely new role, where you – together with four other skilled specialists – will help shape, develop and anchor the role in practice.

Your role – a new function with great significance

As a clinical occupational therapy specialist you will become a key person in the development of the occupational therapy practice at the center.

You will be responsible for strengthening and developing evidence-based occupational therapy and activity-based treatment at an advanced level, and you will work closely with both occupational therapists, management and other professional groups.

You will be attached to one unit (two departments) and will simultaneously have a cross-center function.

It is a new function, and that means the framework is not fully defined yet. You must be willing to help build something up, test, adjust and find ways – even when things are not running smoothly.

In return, you will have a unique opportunity to leave a clear professional mark.

You will become a

  • Driving force for the development of evidence-based occupational therapy
  • Key person in strengthening activity-based treatment
  • Bridge-builder between practice, development and management
  • Professional sparring partner for colleagues and management

Your tasks

You will, among other things

  • Drive and develop evidence-based occupational therapy and activity-based treatment
  • Ensure high quality in documentation, evaluation and clinical practice
  • Translate research and knowledge into concrete action
  • Initiate and participate in quality, development and improvement work
  • Support colleagues through sparring, supervision and competence development
  • Create coherence in patient pathways through multidisciplinary collaboration

You will have both a clear role in practice and a function across the center

Your daily life

You will be attached to one unit with two departments, where you work closely with patients and colleagues – while also having an eye for development across the organization.

It is a position where you must be able to navigate both structure and the undecided – and thrive with the fact that not everything is laid out from the start.

Who are you?

You are professionally strong – but also brave and curious, and you

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience from psychiatry
  • Have experience with development work, quality or research
  • Can create structure – even when it is not given in advance
  • Have impact and the ability to garner followership

It is an advantage if you have a master’s or candidate degree.

You thrive not only in the well-functioning, but also in what is being built.

We offer

  • A unique opportunity to shape a new specialist function from scratch
  • Real influence on professional direction and practice
  • An ambitious and multidisciplinary environment in development
  • Opportunity to work with development, research and implementation
  • A meaningful daily life with clear professional influence

The position is based at Psychiatric Center Sct. Hans and reports to the lead therapist.

Your salary and employment terms

We would like you to start on December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible.

The position is 37 hours per week primarily day shifts from Monday to Friday in the time window 8-16.

You are employed according to the collective agreement for non-management occupational therapists, physiotherapists and midwives with salary placement as an occupational therapist or occupational therapist with candidate. You are under the employment covered by the current working time agreement concluded between the Regions’ Salary and Tax Committee and the trade union.

The night unit is covered around the clock, and you will therefore be employed in mixed shifts in accordance with the rules in the working time regulations in the collective agreement.
