About the job

Do you want an independent and varied daily routine, where you use your health administrative professional skills and become an important part of a small, multidisciplinary team?

We are seeking a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator for the Special Ambulatory for Dual Diagnosis Treatment (MOPS). With us you will have a varied daily life and a central role in creating overview and supporting the ambulatories’ administration and daily operations.

About Special Ambulatory MOPS

Special Ambulatory MOPS is part of the Capital Region of Denmark Psychiatry. We offer highly specialized treatment to patients with dual diagnoses – psychosis in combination with substance use – from across the Capital Region.

We are physically located in Østerbro and organizationally anchored under Department M at Sct. Hans Psychiatric Center in Roskilde. Our multidisciplinary team handles treatment for up to 80 patients and consists of specialists, nurses, social worker, social and health assistant, occupational therapist and medical secretary.

We work from an appreciative and recovery-oriented approach. Our patients often have complex trajectories and life situations. On the phone you help create a safe and welcoming contact to the ambulatory and assist referrals to the right colleagues.

Your everyday life with us

You will be the only secretary attached to MOPS, and will have independent responsibility for the secretarial and patient administrative tasks. You will collaborate closely with the ambulatories’ three doctors, the multidisciplinary staff and management and have influence on how your tasks are organized and solved.

You will have the opportunity for close cooperation with the other ambulatory secretaries and the large secretary group at Sct. Hans. In the building there is also a secretary attached to another psychiatric ambulatorium.

The team has an active field role, and you will therefore work largely independently for much of the day. You primarily meet the staff in the morning, and ongoing contact often takes place by phone when they are out with the patients.

Your tasks will include, among others

  • Telephone handling with inquiries from patients, staff, partner organizations and relatives, as well as handling of shared mailbox.
  • Handling of referrals, summonses and scheduling and the creation and maintenance of calendars in the Health Platform.
  • Patient administration in the Health Platform, including registrations, coding, worklists and maintenance of patient and waiting lists.
  • Administrative handling and sending of attestations, medical letters and access to information in collaboration with the practitioners, as well as assistance with closing and transfer of patient trajectories.
  • Administrative tasks regarding forensic-psychiatric patient trajectories, including registration in the Forensic Psychiatric Database and contact with relevant authorities in collaboration with the doctors.
  • Preparation of overviews and reports that support treatment conferences, follow-up and overview of patient trajectories.
  • Coordination of patient transport and home blood tests as well as relevant operating tasks such as goods ordering, handling of petty cash and contact with internal service functions.

You contribute to developing and maintaining good administrative workflows and participate in morning meetings and relevant coordination meetings. You report to the head nurse and also have a professional leader, who is the health administrative leader and can provide relevant professional sparring.

With us you get
