About the job

In the Center for Daycare and Schools we support teachers, pedagogues and leaders in their important work with children and young people. We are looking for an outgoing and smiley IT support specialist who can be the safe and helpful point of contact when technology fails at the institutions, clubs and schools.

About the job

As our new IT support specialist you will be the first link (0th level support). You ensure that our colleagues in the field quickly receive help with everyday IT challenges, so they can focus on the children and the pedagogical tasks.

Your main tasks will be

  • Telephone and digital user support: You respond to calls and inquiries from teachers, pedagogues and leaders with a welcoming and solution-oriented approach.
  • Support for subject systems and platforms: Help with the use of everyday systems such as e.g. AULA, eDoc, MS products and Google Workspace.
  • On-site support: Minor technical tasks and hands-on support at schools, day nurseries and clubs when the task requires you to meet in person.
  • Lesser technical tasks: Preparation of equipment, creation of users and troubleshooting on hardware/software.

About you

We are looking for an proactive, outgoing and approachable profile who thrives in an external role with many daily contacts. You do not necessarily need a pedagogical background, but it is crucial that you have good empathy and pedagogical patience when guiding users. At the same time, it is important that you are able to work independently and that you work with a high degree of structure and systematics.

We imagine that you

  • Have a relevant IT technical background or solid experience with user support.
  • Have practiced and confident knowledge of MS Office/365, the Google environment and general user support.
  • Are quick to learn municipal subject systems (e.g. AULA, eDoc and similar).
  • Are good at communicating in easily understandable language without too much IT jargon.
  • Familiarity with the municipal world is a plus, but not a requirement.

What do we offer?

You will be employed in the Center for Daycare & Schools at the town hall in Greve. In the center we are a good mix of management, consultants, administrative and IT staff. The center is characterized by a work environment where there is focus on a good balance between professional work and social well-being, and there is a high level of trust among colleagues. So you will become part of a strong collegial community where we like to be together.

In the center we handle tasks for 9 schools, the municipal youth club and leisure area and 26 institutions. In collaboration with a colleague they will all be your support area.

You will have an varied everyday life with a broad contact surface to many engaged colleagues, and both at the town hall and with all our colleagues in the municipality you will encounter a good and informal working environment with skilled colleagues and room for a good laugh.

The job offers opportunities to both dive into support tasks and go out to our many users. In other words, you will experience a varied workday where you are in contact with many people.

Employment terms

The position is 37 hours per week, and salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement.

Application and contact

If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Mette Harder, deputy head in the Center for Daycare & Schools, at tel. 40310585.

Two rounds of interviews are expected to be held.

Interviews will be held on 23 November and 26 November
